Short-Term Running Goals:

It's been a challenging year so far since Boston 2011.  When I got home from Boston my world changed when I found out I had some pretty severe food allergies. Since being tested I have been focused on building my health back up which has been a long slow process. What a difference it's made and I feel extremely blessed. For years I knew something was wrong and it's amazing to finally know that food can actually be a persons medicine to live a healthy life.

Long-Term Running Goals:

"You have to wonder at times what you're doing out there. Over the years, I've given myself a thousand reasons to keep running, but it always comes back to where it started. It comes down to self-satisfaction and a sense of achievement."
- Steve Prefontaine

I'm hoping to start building more miles when I can and be injury free.  Maybe one of these days I'll be fast. Just for now I'm just very happy to be running.

Personal:

Happily married to Marlin Ordway. We've got 4 grown children between the two of us.  It's been fun watching them go through life - making mistakes and picking themselves back up.  I love seeming them happy and succeeding.

Thanks allie. I was glad I made myself go the few extra miles. The walk was unexpected. My sister is visiting from Northern Calif. and wanted to get some exercise in. Nice time to chat. Have to tell you I'm still feeling better since TOU. Sure does make a difference when you pay extra attention to what you eat and drink. :)
