| | AM I feel much better today and legs felt very good!!! Ran in the rain this morning and it was awesome, was only going to do 8 miles but the light rain just felt so good to run in I went 2 more miles.

| | AM Went up to Kelly Canyon ski resort to explore some trails and to see if Gray and I can pull off a 25k and a 50k trail race in Oct. Found some cool trails but need to see if there is some bigger loops around or so, nice morning for a trail run (2254)

Kelly Canyon Half Marathon (13.1 Miles) 01:43:01, Place overall: 22, Place in age division: 1 | | Early in the week I decided to do my traing run of 24 miles running up to the start of the Kelly Canyon Half and the race back down to the finish with my friends. I had a ton of fun!! Set out at 5am as I needed more time to get out there as there is a long 3.5 mile hill, I felt very good going out and even stronger running up the hill as I felt all the hill training and things are working very good. Got to the start of the race and talked with Gray about how we were going to run the race and I felt even tho I just ran 13.1 I felt like I was able to race back down to the finish. Got a little chilled waiting for the race to start but once it did get started I warmed up in a hurry. Running the down hill was fun and fast and got to the bottom and just wanted to get into a nice and very even splits for the remainder of the race. It went very well and I was surprised how well I felt at a faster pace as I have not been fast much due to all the trail running I have been doing. I felt like the last 2 miles I was able to pick up the pace even more and finished strong. 1:43:01 22 OA and 1AG (50-59)

| | AM 7.15 miles around the river on a cool and winddy morning. I was a very eventful weekend with the Iron Cowboy all day Friday, Gray an I set-up for the race all night Friday and Sat. morning and the MAD Marathon and Half on Sat. Morning and then clean-up after the race. Glad things are quiet now and back to normal. But it was worth it all (for the most part)

| | AM A little cool out this morning and had to have my little dog into get her hair cut so I didn't start running until around 9:30 am but glad I did wait as the weather was perfect then. New shoes this morning, trying out the boost for the first time.
PM 34 mile on the bike this evenning, Rode from the house to the Shelley loop and back home.

| | AM Needed another long run in before Staqndhope 60K in 2 weeks, set out at 4 am from my house and ran into town and out to Freeman Park and back. At mile 21 I had a freak thing happend as I got hit on the top of the head and had no idea what the hell hit me, I turned around and there was no one there and looked up and I had a pair of hawks flying over me and diving at me and I had to pick up some rocks to throw at the and ust as I would take off running the would chase me more. First time something like that has hapend
