Cross Training today at the Aquatic Center. 40 Min Total. Bike 15, Elliptical 10, Rower 15. Also lifted weights: Chest and shoulders and abs.

Didn't push myself as hard as Tuesday but still got a good workout.

Last night we took the youth to the temple to do baptisms for the dead. The counselor in the Bishopric who did the baptisms is a triathlete and is in great shape...except as I watched him I realized that his arms looked soft and round instead of strong and chiseled. It really drove home to me the need to incorporate weight training into my fitness goals. Not so much because of the way it makes me look but the way it makes me feel. Chiseled and strong feels much better than soft and round. I felt kind of bad having this insight at the temple. You would think I could have had something much more spiritual come to me. Oh well.

Mack, that is funny, just think of it as an insight -- although I must say I would have thought a swimmer would have pretty toned arms and shoulders.

Nice cross training. Way to receive important inspiration while in the temple! :)

GOOD JOB with the xtrain! NICE "inspiration" from the temple to improve upon "your temple"! :)

Mack, long time no blog. How are you doing?

Rhett, Thanks for checking in with me. I'm not sure what happened. I just started feeling burned out on running so I decided to take an entire week off from any exercise. It was easy for the first couple of days and then I just started to feel like garbage. On Saturday I gave in and did 40 min of cross training and it felt soooo goood! I am now ready to be back and consistent.

I;m glad you're starting to feel better. Stinks when we lose our drive and get burned out. It happens to me too often. Hope you can get in a run soon.
