6 miles this morning around the park.  There were a lot of dog owners letting their animals roam free.  So lame.

You don't like being attacked by dogs? Come on! Where is your sense of adventure? I run into deer and worry about rapists on my runs. Dogs are nothing...

Good point! ;)

Did your friend get checked out for a sports hernia?

he did and got good news! he went to atlanta and saw the team doctor for the atlanta falcons. doc said that the stretches/exercises he has been doing have been very beneficial and to just keep it up and take it easy. of course, he is planning to run a 100 this summer; don't know how easy that is! he was glad to get a good report though. from what he says, a sports hernia is completely different from a regular hernia.

Similiar diagnosis for me as well. I saw the trainer for Portland State University and he recommended stretching my quads, hamstrings and hip flexors as often as possible. I guess I'd become a bit of a slacker with stretching and needed a stern reminder to get back in the habit.
