It all started out at 5 am. I felt good the first couple miles. After that I felt a little lagged. But I kept going. Merri dropped off after around 4.0. She just wanted to get home and park herself back in front of the tv on Michael Jackson watch whilst eating amish bread  :)

Lynsey and I kept going for another 3.5 and we had a good conversation. It passed the time quickly. Only, I talked so much I got way winded and it lagged me more. However, after I dropped Lyns off at her house, I kept going. I ran half way back up the trail, then turned and came back and ran around my block a few times. I am pretty sure I ran at least 2.5 more miles if not more.I know the 7 miles we did was just under an hour which is pretty good ( I check the time in my house before I kept on running alone).

Oh yeah, worst part, when I was running alone,a bug flew into my mouth to the back of my throat. I immediately closed up the gauntlet and somehow managed to spit it out. Yuck!! I was FREAKING OUT!

I did free weights here at home and some pilates crunches and oblique exercises.

Sounds like you girls need a Garmin? Maybe you have one and just didn't have it on. Awesome job on the 9.5 miles though. I am jealous.

So Tyler, Merri has a garmin. We depend on her a little to much in that area. So when Merri dropped off at 4 miles, Lyns and I kept going. we knew from past runs how long the route was so we are pretty exact on the 7 miles.

I HAD a garmin, it was swallowed into an abyss of boxes when my husband and I moved to S.F. in 2006. I'm going to get another one soon.

We didn't end up doing the speedy route so we could stay close to home in case the rain started coming down. Maybe tomorrow, but who knows. Either way, I am doing at least 10 tomorrow. :)

I always take my garmin and I depend on it way to much. I just bought me a new ironman watch that keeps track of time only. I run the same routes all of the time and I know the distances. I need to learn to run off of feel and not depend on that dang garmin so much. Plus half of the time it is out of batteries because I forget to charge it. Keep working hard!

9.5 Lily way to go! :) How did you know about my fascination with Michael Jackson? Actually I got back in bed and slept for 2 more hours. It was much needed.

Sorry about the bug in the throat. Don't tell Merri, because she does tease me something awful, but last night I had a dream (I think) that this huge spider was crawling on me. I jumped out of bed and freaked out. Talk about the heebee geebeez.
