21 miles out and back from home. Last 20 miler until Boston. My goal was to run for 3 hours at a pace a little under 9 minutes. I'm at the end of my training and thought I was too torn up and worn out to throw down something faster. I did that two weeks ago for 24 miles and it was pretty tough to recover from. Once I got about 6 miles out I started feeling a little better. At mile 17 I decided to run a progression for the last 5 miles. I was surprised how much juice I had in my legs. Before I started the run I thought that if I hit my marathon goal pace I'd pull every muscle from the waist down. I was pleasantly surprised at how I finished the last 5 miles and it has given my confidence a boost.
