Long-Term Running Goals: Establish and maintain a program of cardiovascular fitness. Participate in one of the Ragnar Relays. Manage to place within the top 3 in my age group in a race. Any race.
Personal: My wife, Teresa, has stayed by my side for over 21 years and I am a much better person as a result. Kristoffer, our only child, is now 15 and continues to exceed all my expectations. If you look in the dictionary under the word luck you will see my smiling face.

| | I had plenty of sleep ahead of today's run as I napped on both legs of my trip to Orlando. Unfortunately I also seem to be fighting a head cold or a serious attack of allergies so I probably needed all of that sleep. Once in Orlando I pushed myself through the heat and humidity for a jog and hopefully will be healthy enough to keep my mileage in order this week. |

| | It was hot and humid today in Orlando so I decided to run 7 miles. I'm smart like that.

Hopefully the antihistamine tablet will tackle the allergies that have been assaulting me and I will sleep well tonight.

| | I think I returned to the hotel weighing more than I did when I left. Most of it is water that has collected in my clothes from the fresh-after-the-rain humidity. My running shorts feel more like swimming trunks after exiting the pool.

It seems as though anything much faster than 11:30/mi irritates the Achilles tendon in my right leg. Running boss says I need to strengthen and stretch the tendon. Guess I better get on that.
