Today we did an easy 3 in the morning and then 8 in the afternoon. It felt pretty hot before we started but once we got into it, it wasn’t too bad. I think I’m just getting used to the heat because this run was much easier than our last 8 mile run in the afternoon.

3 easy in the morning. 7 miles total in the afternoon (2 mile warm up, 1:1, 2:2, 3:3, 4:4, 3:3, 2:2, 1:1, 2 mile cool down). Pretty tough workout today but it was nice with the cloud cover.

3 miles easy in the morning. Fun 7 mile trail run around the back of the high school and out by Yesco. It was a little tough because our shoes got caked in mud from the trail but fortunately we got to hose them off back at the school.

3 miles easy again this morning. In the afternoon we ran total (1.75 warm up to Bloomington Hills Park, 1 mile course warm up, 2 mile time trial, 1.75 cool down back to the school). I felt good in the time trial. It'll be nice to get some easy miles in tomorrow before SUU on Saturday.

3 easy in the morning. 4 miles easy to the dirt by Hidden Valley in the afternoon. It was pretty hot on this run so fortunately we were just doing short easy mileage. Team night after practice so I got some good food. Getting excited for the race tomorrow.

Race today with 1 mile warm up and cool down. I was really looking forward to this race and the team did great. All four of the teams did really well, especially the varsity boys who took 1st overall. It wasn't a very good race for me but I still have a lot of room to improve. It was a very tiring week so I'll need to get my rest so I can start up again on Monday and hopefully improve by next race in about two weeks.
