Team relay this morning at the third day of team camp in Koosharem. We did a 2.5 mile warm up and then got into teams. I was on a team with Riley, David, Rachel, and Elyse. We each ran four .5 mile legs around a hay field by the ranch. There was a lot of pressure on me, being a camp relay defending champion, but I had confidence in my team. We dominated from the start and finished strong, finishing almost an entire leg ahead of second place. Some people say the teams weren't fair, that it wasn't fair to have only runners from the A group on our team, but I would have to disagree. We just pulled through in clutch time. Cooled down a mile and then 3 more miles in the afternoon again. |
