| | AM- 20 minute. we went faster this morning. I felt great, I have kinda just went chill the last couple mornings and it felt good to go faster again
PM- Cosmin today. I felt decent today. 15 minute warm to harts. Then the 1600 Cosmin. I got farther than last time, not as far as I'd hoped, but I'm happy with it. 1331 meters. Then after, we had a 300, 200, 100. I felt way good on these and I felt like I was going strong, so that's good. Then cool to time

PM: 40 minutes easy with 4x60 second fartleks at the canyon view meet with Alli, Jacey, and Meskerem. Meskerem flipped out every time we saw a dog and it was hilarious. I felt really good and pushed hard on the fartleks.

| | Herriman Invite today. I ran the 1600 and the 800. In the 1600 I started good and held on. I pushed hard and it was 5262 times better than last week. It wasn't a pr, but it was decent. I got 5:39. In the 800 i did a lot better than I expected. Coach holt to me to pick one thing I wanted to work on this race and I wanted to work on my kick. I kicked!!!! I am so happy. I ALWAYS don't kick very well and I did so that's good. I got 2:35, not a pr, but still good :) And I'm happy with my races

| | 40 minutes easy by our hotel. I felt not so good the first 10 minutes, then after that I warmed up and felt really good! We ran on some trail by a dog park. It was a cool trail.

| | AM: 2.3 miles easy for the morning. AC
PM: mile warmup to pizza hut. Then a 1000 at 1600 goal pace. Jacey and I were trying to hit a 3:20 and we hit a 3:21, which is pretty solid. I stayed with her and she didn't out-kick me, which is way good. I need to get in my head that I can kick and push hard in races because I can. After that, we had a 300, 200, 100 with full recovery. I hit 54, 34, and 14 on those. I felt great today on the workout. I cooled down part way with Ellie and Caroline then they stopped and I went one more 1000 cool down lap.
Also, at region I'm doing the 1600 and 3200. Way pumped!!

| | Couple mile warmup before the 1600. Then the 1600. The front group started out pretty slow. I felt really good and I led the first couple laps with a cedar girl. The third lap, I was still feeling pretty good, and I was try to push, but a few people passed me. Through the rest of the race I was still in the front pack, but closer to the back. I should have just kept my position closer to the front because I was going at the same pace as the person in front, but it still added some time to my time. Oh well, over all it was a decent race. I ran a 5:34

| | Warmed up a bit more than a mile before the 3200. Then the weather sucked and we had a 30 minute lightning delay. When we went out side, we had 5 minutes to rewarm up before our race. Then the 3200. I didn't do very good. It was my worst 3200 of the year. I started way fast and I didn't do very well fighting the mental battle of the race either. After the race I cooked down with El.
Then later I rewarmed up of the 800. I was one spot out of being in the fast heat, and honestly I didn't mind much. Me and Caroline were one and two going into the race and I was way excited. I started really well and I was NOT going to get last. The first 200 was a good start. I kept it pretty solid until the 300 and then I decided to serge on the straight. Then I felt great and I just kept going I pushed all the way and even kicked. I felt so good. I ended up 1st in the heat and one second off my Pr and that was right after the 3200. It was definitely a great confidence booster that I can run fast and it feels awesome to run.

| | We had 45 minutes easy with 4x30 second fartleks. We did neon spider and it was soooo fun. It was definitely the funnest run in a long time. We went to the tunnel and Jacey and Meskerem scrame a lot. Especially Jacey. It was way funny and pitch black. When we went in there was a giant patch of tumble weeds in the way, So we had to walk on this teensy ledge thing for a little and I kept falling off. Then the tunnel turned and there was a big puddle of water we had to cross and it was very muddy and slimy. Then we climbed out and did the last two fartleks with very wet shoes. It felt weird. Then we did DI to ad more time

Me, Skylar, and Rylee were a team. It was a way fun workout. I did a bit of cool with the girls, but they stopped and I did some more. About 1.5 miles

| | First day of state. I didn't race anything today but we got there way early and I got in some track minutes. I ran a few miles, probably 3. It was about 25 minutes. Not sure how far I went exactly. It was very rainy

| | Warmed about a mile and a half for the 3200. It was kinda chilly and I was nervous. We kept jogging and striding out to stay warm before the race. Then we started. I was kinda nervous and my mind kept bringing back my not so good race at region. I finally pushed it from my mind and started to just run. Caroline and Meskerem started way strong and I was afraid to start out that strong so I held back. Me and Jacey were going together for the first 4ish laps. I passed Caroline about lap 4 or 5. I felt good and I was in a decent spot. The next 2 laps are what kinda hurt me a little. Jacey went strong and I slowed down a little. Meskerem was falling back and I caught her, but I wasn't being mentally tough. Caroline and Ellie caught me on the 7th lap and I was trying to go with them, but they were starting to gap me. Then I told myself to don't t be a baby and just go for it. So I started to serge and I caught back up to them starting the last lap. I was just gonna stay with them, but I decided to start pushing and I went strong from the 300 and then at the 200 I just went. It was a good kick and I was very happy I went. It wasn't a pr, but a good race my time was 11:58. I was 11 overall right after Jacey and Laynee. State was very fun. Then I went on a cool down probably about a mile.

| | First day of practice!! Irene and I ran with some of the new girls named Ryan and Kaylee and Sasha and Destiny. It was really fun to get to know them better. We ran 20 minutes with them, at like a 9:30 pace. Then i added on to make it 30. It was a nice run. Felt good, and super excited for xc to start!!

We ran to Meskerems house to see why she didn't come to running, and she ended up coming out and running back with us. Then Caroline was dying to go see my grandparents farm and their goats, so we ran across the street from meskerems house and went and saw them. It was way fun! then we ran back to the park and stretched and stuff

Planned a morning run today at my house. Only a few girls showed which was fine :) we made a nice loop out to staheli farm and back around nichol's peak we packed really well on the fartleks and we all pushed eachother. The last one we started out strong and i felt great! i just kept going up the hill and it was awesome! great rest of the run back, had a very fun time and a delicous panckake breakfast afterwards :)

| | 48 minutes, .5 warm 5.7 miles at dirt mile ran each loop progressively faster. i felt a little ehh today. My legs felt good and i had energy but my belly felt kinda gross. we ran to the dirt mile and then we went our first loop at about a 7:55 and we had a nice pack going. the next one was a 7:45ish and the last we turned to leave before the mile indicator and so i just stopped it and it was a 7:00. It was a solid run and Sylivias back! yay!!

| | We woke up at 4 and went down to havasupi falls today. It was a very long time and eventually we just wanted to get there so me and Ellie and addi and Parker and Scottie all ran down the trail with our stuff to get our minutes in. It was fun and it actually felt really good! There were a lot of dogs running around and it smelled like horse poop a lot. We set up camp, then went to havasupi falls. The water was so pretty and blue. Then it started raining and I took a nap.

| | We went on this hike out to mooney falls and beaver falls. Me and Parker and Ellie and Scottie and addi ran on the trail while everyone hiked. It was very pretty and there was this one part that was like hiking angels landing times 50 in coolness and scariness (that part we didn't run). It was so cool!! It was the prettiest place ever! Most of the hike/run was through these vines and there were tons and some were growing up the walls of the canyon. The other parts of the run were almost like going through a rainforest it was the best run I have EVER done!

in the middle of the night 6.5 miles up a VERY large hill. it didnt EVER go down.Me and alli ran together on our legs! it was way fun and super duper hard. We woke up at 12:45 to get ellie and jace to their start. it was fun to cheer them on. then me and alli started. i was kinda scared and it was wierd running in the middle of the night. If i didnt have someone to run with, i probaly woulda peed my pants. anyways, it was a very hard hill that never ever ended. it was long and it took a long time. Also, there was a wonderful strong headwind if the hill wasn't long enough :) finally it ended and passed to sylvia and addi. they did awesome!! i felt surprisingly good after the run, i thought i would be wayyy tight, and i wasnt!
5 miles ups and downs.we went to some creepy, very dirty gameroom of a trailer park and slept for a few hours. then we woke up, and ellie and jacey started their legs. there was 2 papers and one said they had 4 miles and the newest one we had gotten said 3, so they were expecting 3. then they lied and they actually had 4, which stunk alot. then me and alli ran. much less up hill, but still quite alot. it was much less scary and it was bright outside
7.5 miles down a very large hill. hungout for a while before we started. We praticed our dance we made up. haha!! its absolutely hilariously awful. then ellie and jacey had a 7 mile run. then me and alli had a 7.5 mile run. We were hauling!! (or at least it felt like it) it was pretty much all down hill and it was way fun! when we ended, i didnt even feel sore at all! im so happy!! i definitely need to roll and stretch to stay that way. i drank lots of water and had a wonderful time! then we passed to addi and sylvia. they also had a 7 mile run. it had a much bigger up hill then the race people said, and they totally did awesome going up it! holy cow!! sylvia is a beast at running up hills!! slept at the finish line til the other car got there, then finished together and left! had an absolute blast!!

at the beginning i felt alright. then we ran up some hills and i was trying to stay on Jacey, boy she is a tough runner! anyways, then we got on the skinnier trails and i was leading for a bit. i decided to go to the back to get Addi back onto the group, we caught back up and then everyone took turns leading until we got back up to the fatter trails. we had an awesome group today! felt great. got back and did striders, they werent quite where i wanted them, but they will definetly be better next time! way excited to be able to come to practice consistently for the next while!

Felt great! We all started as a nice big pack and on the straights we switched leaders. I felt really good on all of them. The last loop it was just me, Jacey, Ellie and addi for the first part. I felt absolutely lovely, just cruising along with half the team until the hill before the rec center hill. After that I just died. I was running with Roberts and Meskerem. After what was the longestpart of the run we had striders and I stepped on a bee. It felt lovely, just kidding, It hurt so freakin bad!!

At the beginning on the way to the dirt mile I just felt blah. I was tired, but I changed my attitude and I snapped into a good mindset. The first loop was very fast at the beginning. Then we settled into a normal pace. Each was a little faster, after the second7.8 and it felt wonderful. For a bit I stayed in the back to help box in girls so they didnt fall off. On the last lap we picked up a lot. It ended up being a 6:59. I felt great today. It was hard, but great!

Me and Caroline lead first, and at first I thought man there is a lot of fast people from other teams, but then as the race played out, we started to get all the people that started out fast. We slowly worked up, and soon we were right on the first girl. It was so weird and cool that we have such a good pack, like I knew we had a good lot of girls to pack with on the team, but not that good. It was so cool to race altogether, and in such a tightknit group. We stay together as a pack for quite a while. Then Meskerem started to take off, and Jacey and I was behind them. It was a great race and I ended 3 overall and 3 on the team. It was so swag and I love our whole team!

easy run with the girls. 4.9 miles and i felt better than this morning. not 100%. but good :) we did firestation backwards. and there is only 179 days left of school, so thats great. we should make a cross country school and we can just learn about running and incorporate running into every subject. that would be the ideal school. |

Pm- Got to the course and ran it, I was way nervous before we started, but I felt confident once we got to the starting line. They said "set" and then they stopped like 3 times. It was kinda annoying. Once we started we got out way fast and I was kinda nervous cuz it was faster than normal but I knew I had to stay on the group or I would never ever catch back up. I pushed up to the front of our pack so I would stay on and I felt way good once I got there. We stayed as a pack for a while and I kept yelling Stuff cuz it made me feel better and stronger. The pack fell apart in the middle/end and me and Caroline kept switching leads and it really helped me. After the hill I didn't push like I should have. A lot of people passed me at the end, including rylee at the last turn. I was 3rd on the team and my time was 20:00. Overall a solid race for the whole team. Our team was 3rd behind Davis and AF.

| | Went to the state course for a workout, it was way fun to get to know the new course. I really liked it, it's different but good. We ran the course forward. Then at the end, we turned around and did the work out backwards. We had 1,2,3 min fartleks with 2 minutes recover between each and 2 sets. My legs are tired, but I stayed on the group for the most part for all except for one I really fell off a lot. I kept coughing a lot today which was no Bueno. But oh well. Overall a Great workout and I'm soooooo excited for state!!!

Then it stopped like 2 minutes later and we had a great rest of the run. We went 8.26 miles and then striders so 9.26 total. It was an eventful run

Bob Firman (3.1 Miles) 00:20:01, Place in age division: 57 | | We warmed up and I was nervous to race, I haven't been really nervous this year yet until this race. We went over to start, and I felt really good. We started and we got out really strong, I hung in with the group until going up the hill the first time. Meskerem took off and I tried to stay on Jacey and Caroline. I didn't push the 2nd mile like I should have. I just sat, which was very dumb. About going into the 3rd mile I tried to refocus and get back into it. I was a little behind Jacey and I could see her and I gained a little but didn't go enough. I ended 5th on the team and my time was 20:01. Not the best race, but good. Definitely room to improve. We ended 5th overall Great Oak, AF, Davis and Bozeman were the teams in front of us.

I felt solid and as we started going around the field at the finish coach yelled at me to go push rylee so I caught up to her and pushed her and she came with me in the end. She ended up passing me again at the end but it was a good finish and I wasn't very far off of her. Solid race from everyone. We finally found out we got 2nd place by one point after a very long time of waiting

Then we finshed with an all out 100.We warmed up and i started feeling better and my head stopped hurting. During the workout we had a super good pack, especially on the 1000's. the last 100, i felt so good and it was very fun! Our 1000's were supposed to be 3:55, and we ran :50, :52, :47, :47. The 400's were 1:15 and 1:14.

Really great workout. We had the same workout as last week. The 1000's were good we got a bit faster than last week, but stayed packed real well. We switched up leads a lot and it felt good to get going. We ran a 3:55, :59, :44, :38. I felt way good. The 400's were a little slower at a 1:17 and 1:17. But the last 100 was beast. I love the 100, it's the best part of the whole thing. I love it.

Just chilled for a minute until we got to probably the half mile mark. Then jacey came up to me and said "let's go" and I went with her up to Caroline and Meskerem. I decided then that I wanted to stay on them and keep going. I stuck in probably 3 steps behind them and surged up to Caroline. We battled it out for a little and then I decided I was gonna go get Meskerem. I never got exactly on her, butt stayed it a good mind set and I didn't give in to my brain. I felt so good and I pushed hard in the end. My mile splits were 5:59 and 5:52. My time was 11:52, which is faster than what I ran at state track in the 3200 last year, so that's good. I had a good race and have some good positive vibes and I'm so excited for Nike. EVERY RUN COUNTS

Dream mile in the afternoon. I didnt feel super ready for the 1600 all day, i tried really hard to be positive, but i kinda dreaded it. I warmed up slow with meskerem and told myself to just do my best and push hard. It was super windy and freezing and we had to run it backwards so that the wind wasnt as bad. We started and i was just going. i didnt want to kill the first part and just stayed with the pack and tried to hang on. On the 2nd lap i told myself that i was going to push the 3rd lap and got ready to pass the pack finishing up the 2nd lap. i passed the pack and found a lot of energy that i didnt know i had. i kept pushing and i felt super good. i pushed strong and on the last little bit i could feel jacey behind me and she passed me with like 120 meters left. i tried to push but i kinda settled even though i know i shouldnt have. she got me by less than a second. I ran a 5;31 with the crazy wind which is pretty great for me. one on my best 1600's on the track!

Super fun race!! i tried to just kinda relax the first mile but i kinda didnt do exactly what i wanted but taht was ok. i got into a decent spot and in the 2nd mile i felt like i was passing alot. there were so many people it was so wierd. coach said that all the girls were pretty close but i didnt really ever see anybody except rylee a few times. i tried to stay with her the first time i saw her and then i lost her. I kept pusing the 2nd mile and i felt really solid on the 3rd mile until probably the 800 mark. i slowly started just tuning out and kept trying to get into it again. i felt like i was pushing decent on the last stretch but i still got passed by some people. i ended 2nd on the team and i was 6th place. super fun raace and like 29834937493x's funner than last year

Me and rylee are always super close so we ran together. It was weird not doing it with all the girls together. I felt a bit off today. And it was weird with Meskerem being out in front and not going to go get her. Me and ry ran a 6:31, 6:16 and 5:55. We were pretty much right on our times except the 2nd one was a few seconds slow but it was a solid workout. Yay for thanksgiving break.

| | warmed up with alli. then got on the start line. i told myself i was going to chill at the beginning and i did. i started really chill and i so bad was getting antsy but i just chilled until switchback hill. then i started to push pretty solid. i passed a ton of people going up the hill and even more going down. at that point i was in 5th place. and i told myslef to just keep it up. i had to make myself think about using good form on the downhills and it really helped. i stayed in the same spot most of the race until the flattish part between poopout and reservoir hill. i passed 2 girls and a washington girl passed me. i ended up being fourth overall, and NO ONE passed me on the track! i can push at the end of races!!! it just took a bit of effort for me to finally figure it out. i shouldve pushed with the washington girl, but overall, it was a pretty great race. cooled down with mitch,dallen, addi, and macey.

| | Met with some of the team at Chuckwalla and ran! Felt pretty good! I'm feeling in shape again and running with the girls and Roberts was real swell, I enjoy all of their company.

| | Picked up the Bakers and we ran mustang pass cuz my mom has been wanting us to show her which trail it was. We started running and, I guess i should not have eaten waffles for breakfast cuz I felt like I was gonna throw up. I felt sooo sick. By the end I started to feel better and it was a pretty decent run. It is so enjoyable to just get out and run in the cold fresh air. I love it!
