5k < 17 Personal: 400m/800m competitively in track in high school. Took 15 years off. Started running again in 2010. Married to my beautiful wife, Tiffany, with 2 little boys, now 4 and 6. I'm a civil engineer working for the Indiana DOT in Seymour, IN. I live in a slightly larger town about 20 miles north - Columbus, IN. Originally from Lexington, KY.

| AM - feeling pretty rough this morning. Drove to Br. Co. SP for some trail running. The storms did some serious damage. Trees down over most of the trails making them unrunable - 6.6 miles - 1:20 or something crazy. Drove to Grandview and did 2 loops around on the roads. 15.6mile more - 2:09:15

| Indy 500 Half in downtown Indy this morning. Got there a little late and got in a little over a mile with some strides just in time to stand around and get ready to fight the crowd. The crowd was an issue for the first half mile and then spread out. Great weather anf course conditions - prime for a PR for most, with their PR fitness. Training for ultra is not what gets me PRs in halves and shorter stuff apparently. Starting to come to terms with that fact. Backed down the pace after about 5k and settled in to something more in the MP range. As a test, I put he pedal back down after some miles of MP. railed off about 3 miles and cooled it back off for a less than spectacular 1:22:20.
