In San Diego for work.  We stayed at a different hotel then we normally do and I was excited to run some place different.  I started out and ended up running 4 miles out to the b beach and should have turned around and headed back the same way. But no, there was a great big hill calling my name.  I decided to run up it and thought (bad idea) that I would come down and run int W. Point Loma Blvd - the road I had run on out to the beach.  Made it up the .25 mile hill, I am not sure of the grade but it was extremely steep, and then came back down and no W. Point Loma Blvd.   Decided to go up and over the next hill because for sure I will run into my street, nope, no luck.  I started really getting worried at this point and continued on and found a super nice guy in his driveway who told me "give me the street name, I will get you there".  Told him where I was staying and how I had gotten to where I was and he gave me very easy directions back to the hotel.   I started back to the hotel and had to really pick up the pace because I had no idea how far away it was.   I ended up with 9 miles rather than 8 and found a great loop to run if I ever stay out in that area again, but I was really worried for a few minutes.  I am usually on my own when I travel but I had my boss with me and I was dreading the call to him saying I was lost and did not know how to get back.  Luckily I did not have to make that call.  I looked at the map when I got back to SLC and realized how far in the wrong direction I had gone, but it was a great run and I would run it again if I get the chance.
