I am in Seattle today.  Normally we stay out in Bellevue and I have a few routes that I really like, but this trip we are staying at the airport.  I had pretty much resigned myself to the fact I would be on the treadmill, but we got a map from the hotel that showed a trail quite close.  So I ventured out.  The first mile was down hill - steep down hill and then slight down hill the other 2 on the way out.  It was a beautiful trail with lots of green and a creek that opened up on to the puget sound. The way out was pretty fast but the way back - up hill was slow........  I ended up walking up 1/2 of the really big hill because my ankle was not liking the incline.

The eating festivities have already started, I ate two really big meals yesterday and one quite late and I am sure today will be the same - Bad Jody, Bad Jody....

Ave Pace 9:01 (not counting the hike up the hill)

Happy Running!

You crack me up! Good job finding a trail out there to run on. So much better than a treadmill for sure! ummm...and BTW what are you doing trying to take Brock and Dusty away from us down here? j/k :) :)

I am not trying to take them away...But it is only Andee and I and we get lonely:) I really never thought he would really be interested. But he would do a great job.

You have been quite the jetsetter lately. My best friend lives in Seattle, in Shoreline, and I run around a lake when I'm there or on this really pretty trail that goes alongside another, much bigger lake. I guess you can't get more vague than that, but there are so many pretty places to run up there. Have fun!

I am going down to pick up my race packet. Do you want me to try and get yours??? You have got some great miles in without me. Hopefully you got some for me also.

I bet those trails are so much better than the treadmill. But anything in my book is better than the treadmill!

So much better than a treadmill in an airport-location hotel. Even if you did end up wogging a little. But I have to plead that when the eating festivities begin, you must report the deliciousness thereof, so we can take vicarious enjoyment! I love running the NW, and the food around there is spectacular. Don't hold back those great details about your trip! It sounds like a working trip, but good for you for getting out there in the open!

Luz - We started at Denny's - I know, terrible but we were starving and only had a few hrs to finish up our presentations and I completely over ate. That night we went to Chinook's which is a seafood restaurant- so good - Salmon and then their berries are on so of course I need a berry shortcake at 10 pm.

The next day we ate at a similar restaurant for lunch and I had fish tacos and more dessert and then at the Cheesecake factory for dinner at 10 pm. I know that is why I am sick today. You would think I would have learned my lesson by now.

Well, you can at least consider that you've provided a public service by allowing us to 'eat' some of you berry shortcake and salmon! P.S. Cheescake is a POWER FOOD. Get good sleep and water today if you can, and by Des News tommorrow, you'll be rearing to go! I bet you'll do better than you feel today.
