5;15 am 50 degrees 91% humidity - still cold and I am not quite ready for it Today was speed work and after yesterday's sluggish run I was not sure what to expect. I warmed up for 2 miles and then stretched. I then did 6 - 1/2 mile repeats with a .25 mile rest on the flattest ground I could find. Apparently I was garmin challenged as well because I messed it up a couple of times 1 - missed the lap button; 2:30 recovery 2 - 3:52; 2:28 recovery 3 - 3:56; 2:25 recovery 4 - 3:47; 2:33 recovery 5 - messed this one up terribly but best guess is 3:57; 2:28 6 - 3:47; recovery home I felt pretty good the entire time and I now have a pretty good base line for future workouts. I had a difficult time staying focused and thought it was time to recover during the middle of number 5 and this was the same problem with the last hill repeat last week, so focus is something I need to work on.
