Huge congrats!

Can you progress from brisketish? I'm skeptical.

From Jake K on Fri, Sep 25, 2015 at 15:46:57 from 159.212.71.25

Joe - 6:14, 5:56, 5:45, 5:35, 5:28. That's a pretty damn good run for me these days! I feel like I didn't quite get down to FiletMignonish, but I'm moving in that direction.

From SlowJoe on Sat, Sep 26, 2015 at 01:01:40 from 107.77.100.27

That is definitely good but don't get ahead of yourself. You still have to get through chuck roastish, sirloinish and ribeyeish before you can start thinking about filetmignonish.

From Jake K on Sat, Sep 26, 2015 at 02:23:57 from 67.166.113.191

Excellent point. There's a big range. FiletMignonish pace is probably in the 4:40s. I really need to iron out the meat-pace conversions. And where do other species fit into the spectrum? Copper River Salmon? Ostrich? Elk? Eagle?

I think allie teaches a class that covers this topic so maybe she can help us figure it out.

From SlowJoe on Sat, Sep 26, 2015 at 14:39:55 from 107.77.100.27

I'm a Texan, so anything other than cow is irrelevant, but I would assume the other species would involve race walking or rhythmic gymnastics.

This is the ultimate exercise/nutrition crossover. I almost can't wait to get to work on Monday so I can print this for reference!

From SlowJoe on Sun, Sep 27, 2015 at 09:11:32 from 107.77.100.35

Yep, from now on I will just reference this beef chart for paces...95% of my miles are tripeish.

From Jason D on Fri, Oct 02, 2015 at 18:36:09 from 68.80.27.222

I would like to add roadkill pace to this list please. It's the equivalent of my hard earned 9:45-10:15 miles. Well, technically its like moving road kill but you get the idea.

I'm noticing that there's a relation between my beef pace and my economic status. Or maybe it's just a correlation and not direct causation.

Lolz . . . "my beef pace." That has to be a statistically improbably phrase.

From Derunzo on Fri, Oct 02, 2015 at 18:42:06 from 73.218.33.75

Honey..... "You can't handle my beef pace." Wow, that just sounds wrong.... I am done here.

Just a really interesting discussion thread here. One of the best ever on the FRB

I'm still looking for the meatless options...
