| Epic trail run/hike with Cody. Started at First Dam, then ran BST to the foot of the mountain east of town with the TV reflectors. Then "ran" (read hiked) up it. It's a very steep, technical trail in the best of conditions, but this morning we had a howling wind and up to knee deep snow. We're officially hardcore. Look at Cody's blog for pictures. At the top, we both were starting to get hypothermia, so we glissaded down as fast as we could, which was tons of fun. 2:03 (19:00/mi.) 3000' vert.

| Moderate paced run today. It was a little chilly as I only wore a shirt and shorts, but I felt really good on the run. Every day seems to feel better. Still have a lingering sore throat that shows up mostly at night. Other than that I feel great. 48:32 (7:16/mi.)

| Snowshoed the Wellsvilles with Cody. See his blog for cool pictures and stuff. It was quite the adventure, and a hard workout at the same time. It was only something like 6 miles, but I'm counting it for 10 because it felt like 20. Really cool to be up there with all the snow though. Snowshoeing was fun, especially the long glissade down. Great morning workout. |

| Small Workout #1 Didn't push it too hard, as this is my first hard workout in some time, but it felt great to push the pace today. Ran up to the Fieldhouse and after warming up I started with 4x800m at 5:30 pace. Splits: 2:43 2:48 2:45 2:42 Not too fast, but it has been a long time so I was definitely working. Followed that with 4.5 miles at Tinman or a little faster, and a couple of miles of cooldown. 10 miles total for the day. Good workout

| "Long" run today. Well, the longest I've done in a long time. It felt really really good! It was even warm enough to take my shirt off for the last third of the run. 50 miles for the week, and who knows how long it's been since that happened. Very positive day and week. | Easy recovery run late at night. It was way after hours, but the weather was actually perfect. It was about 50 degrees with a little breeze. Felt very relaxed and smooth after feeling sore much of the day. Recovery time is coming down, so that is really good. 47:27 (7:53/mi.)

| Nice late night 15 miler. I was going to go with Cody this morning for part of my run (btw, it's super easy to plan runs when you work with your running partner), but I was reminded that I had to help with a high school VEX Robotics tournament that my college VEX team was sponsoring, so I had to bag the run/hike with Cody. As soon as I got home from that I had to go to work until 9:30 and didn't get out on the run until almost 10. I didn't feel too spry for the first 7 miles or so, but then things started clicking more and by mile 10 I was feeling really good. Finished the last mile slow to cool down and made it home before midnight. 1:52:25 (7:29/mi.)
