| PM: 6.6 miles in 50 minutes on the treadmill. It felt harder than it should have.
I didn't get the supervisor position I applied for but I did get full time, which will give me a consistent time (but not consistent day) schedule. Just a workaday bloak.
I set my dissertation defense date (March 9) and am making the final revisions (due February 12). Things are looking up, but I still don't feel great. Better, but not great.

| Off. Sick. Early morning and a long nap.
It looks like I will be working consistently 5:00AM-1:30PM, with no specifically designated days off. Once I get used to going to bed at 9 or 10 I should be good. Once my dissertation is defended I can get back to running and training. I'll do my best to exercise between now and then.

My dissertation defense is once again up in the air. I tried to remove a problem committee member, but I need four for the defense and it looks like I am once again going to have to reschedule. Feeling absolutely helpless. Getting out of bed has been difficult.

| PM: 4.7 land miles with Megan. About 9:45 pace.
We ran on the River Bends paved trail, which is one of the nicest urban trails I've seen (as far as construction). She kicked my butt mileage wise this past week. I didn't want to run much faster. Felt pretty crappy but it was in the lower 60s and sunny and I always enjoy a run with my wife. She's running the Glass City Half, which I was going to run as a key race before I fell off the cliff, but I will likely run with her. My plan is to get back into a rhythm and focus on the goal of running a fall marathon PR. I have a ton of work to do and will try to do some short, low-stakes racing this spring to get the fire back.
