| 8 miles, Dad had me do a 400 pickup to see how my legs were. When I started running fast my foot started hurting, so we stopped after 100 meters. I think the sudden acceleration pulled something. My legs felt good though.

| 8 miles. We did 2 fast 400's. Dad said to do the first one in 80 and if I was feeling good to do the next one in 72. The first quarter was about 80, my foot felt fine so I ran the next one in 72. Dad was a little behind on the second one.

| 6 miles with two 800 meter pickups. A bit of taper for the salt city mile on Monday. The goal was to run 2:24 for me and 2:40 for Dad, JoJo, and Chad. I ran 2:25 for the first interval(72, 73). My joints felt a bit stiff. In the second interval, JoJo did the first 400 with me. We had 71. I ran 72 for the last 400, 2:23 for me, JoJo was a little behind with 2:27. I don't remember what Dad or Chad had. My foot felt good, and my legs were a little tired in the last 400 of the second interval, but it was good. My target pace for Monday is around 72, I'm hoping I can break 4:50.

| I ran the Salt City Mile in Liberty Park today. My foot was hurting a little before the start and I wasn't feeling very energetic, but otherwise, I felt good. No soreness from the half marathon. I started out pretty well, 69 for the first quarter. The next quarter was about 73 or 74. I got kinda tired in the third quarter and slowed down a little. In the last 400 my lungs and heart felt weak. But I still had a good finish. I had 4:52 on my watch. That's a pretty good PR. 5 seconds! The chip time was a bit messed up, so I'm just going with my watch time. Overall it was a good race, my legs didn't feel very tired afterward. I think it was my lungs and heart that limited me.
