| | Wow so Jenessa and I went to the elementary not thinking at all to check the blog, then realized no one was there, so went to the high school to see but no one there also :/ so we went home and found out the run was at bloomington hills!! Ahh it was too late to go so Ness and I did our workout on the river trail. Man it was so so hard, I did my 4 striders, then the workout. My times were around here; 1200- 5:40, 1600- 7:15, 1200- 5:10, 1600- 7:05. I didn't hit all of them like I should've but I'm glad the times improved at least :) 60 min total, 7 miles
Drove to camp!! 25 min run down and up some hills, 2.8 miles

| | 45 E, which is funny cause it wasn't easy at all haha, but I guess nothing's easy at high altitude camp!! It was the kinda run that goes downhill the first half and uphill the second! I tried to stick with Ellie, Josie and Alli uphill but fell off after a bit. I was on my own for a while and really started to struggle. Then Roberts encouraged me and Maycee saved the day! She came up and passed me, so I worked harder back up to her and we ran the rest together. Man it's so much better when you have a running buddy :) she is awesome
25 E run by the Navajo lake! We went on a tricky little trail for a little but most of our run was on the road. Some fun chicken fights in the lake after haha. Maycee and I were champs ;)

| | 90 min long run in the mountains. Really cool trail down the mountain, we got lost for a little haha but found our way back to the right trail which led us to an even cooler trail! It was awesome and had a lot of cute little bridges :) We had most girls for the first 40 min but then they all flipped except for Roberts, Josie, Ellie, and me. For a little it was good, but Ell and I seperated from Roberts and Jos till the new trail started and they let us lead. I led for a little then Ellie did and I was really struggling. My breathing went ragged and soon enough I started to hyperventilate again :( we took a break and I sat on a log to catch my breath. Everyone was so nice to be patient with me while I came back alive and ran again. They let me lead for a long time and the rest of the way was good. I love our team and how much they care about one another!!
25 E with EVERYONE! All the girls were together and it was great

| | 60 min hill run with a little workout. We did 2 sets of 3x80 sec hills and I loved it because it really helped me to work on my sloppy form lately. The first set was good and the second was better! We all finished strong. The run back up I ran with Jos and her dad, and Caroline. Loved Camp, it was super fun and I'm so excited for our team and this season of cross country!

| | Ran on the Sullivan Park trail with the girls for 35, then did 8 striders afterwards. Felt great and surprisingly not really sore

| | 30 min easy run on the grass for the morning First race! I did very well and at the same time vary bad. Let's start with the good; I ran with Jos and Jes for the first two laps and took turns leading with them and we pushed each other well! The bad; I totally fell off on the third lap and I let like 4 dh girls pass me. I finished 3rd on the team, 9th overall. I didn't finish strong at all, so lesson learned and I'm going to race smarter and stronger next time!! My workouts and runs after this are all ending strong too! The girls did good and s/o to Jos for winning!! She's a beast and Jes for getting up there also! Even though it wasn't a great race for our whole team, I'm sooo excited for the races to come and the hard work that comes with them! 45 min total | | Add Comment |

| | Weights and a short 15 min run before school Drove to Renegade camp in Pine Valley where we set up at Robert's awesome cabin! For our afternoon run we hit the lower end of the minutes because of our run tomorrow. We went down a pretty big hill then flipped to go up! It was kinda hard but that's hills so ya. 45 min total Also walked to the creepy haunted Brown house, then had one of the best (even though there was a numberless amount of bugs) bonding moments with the team ever where we shared our strengths and weaknesses :) | | Add Comment |
| | The BIG run: We ran up Pine Valley mountain!! We did the backward Indian run for almost all the way up and ran most of it haha. We took some breaks either drinking water, eating energy fruit snacks and Gu, taking pics, or picking the delicious raspberries we found! Closer to the top it felt more like a hike as it got steeper and steeper! Ellie and Maycee led this thing were we'd run for 10 steps then get a break to take a breather haha. Then we got to the top and saw the beautiful view that stretched on forever!! The way down was an adventure. To start we walked till we knew we could start running without falling off the edge haha. I ran with Alli and Maycee for pretty much the whole way down and only stopped twice to pick some more rasberries haha. I also think I got a good amount of more freckles which I didn't think was possible but I was proved wrong! About 3 hrs of a really hard and really fun run! | | Comments(1) |

| | 20 min run Did like a 20 min warm-up then had the desert duel! Josie started off for our group and did great pulling in second, then Caroline keeping that place. It felt so good to run fast again, I almost got Laynee but she really out kicked me :/ positive race tho because I pr'd from my last years time! Girls team did amazing and s/o to Seanne for getting 5th, breaking the tie-breaker, so we won as a team! :) 40 min total | | Add Comment |
