AM - 7 AC and then The Beast, Austin, and I ran the proposed PVXC home course.  I think it is a solid course with what we have to work with - maybe a little twisty and overlapping, but we don't have much room to work with.  (Stratus red

Where'd you end up fitting a course at PV?

From dave holt on Fri, Sep 26, 2008 at 13:47:03

Check it out on the course tool and tell me what you think.

Well, it'll be easy for all the PV people - they have those grass loops MEMORIZED from repeats! ;) Looks pretty dang confusing, though. Hopefully you don't have any people as dumb as me that inevitably go the wrong way in every race. I vote that those storage sheds to the east of the track get demolished and they make a nice park there. That way you can get a course with a few less opportunities for confusion. :) Hope it works out for you guys, though - when's the race?

From dave holt on Sat, Sep 27, 2008 at 14:08:16

That is exactly what I thought - we'll know it with no problems... but everybody else? We have some time to try and work out kinks though. We don't need it until next year - pre-region and Region. So we will do a time trial on it this fall as we get ready for Nike X Regionals after State.

From Ruthie on Sat, Sep 27, 2008 at 16:56:03

Yeah, it will probably work for a Region course as long as the region stays small - don't trying doing a big invite on it though, people would DIE. ;) Btw, are you taking people to Footlocker this year and when is it?

From dave holt on Sat, Sep 27, 2008 at 17:26:17

Again... that is the same thoughts Austin, Beast and I had - 3 or 4 teams, 5 would get pretty tight.

We are planning on going to Phoenix for Nike X Regionals (it has pretty much surpassed Footlocker since it has the team aspect and now has expanded to include individuals not qualifying on teams as well).

What is your next one.

From Ruthie on Sat, Sep 27, 2008 at 18:53:28

That sounds awesome! Hope the guys run well there - it's always hard to keep up training after State.

My next meet is next weekend at Notre Dame! It's gonna be HUGE! I'm nervous...
