I did the elliptical for 20 and some weight lifting.

 Then I played racquetball with some buddies. It's gratifying to compete against people that are more out of shape than me. Even though my race times were non-stellar this year, I felt great through 4 games of racquetball whereas my rotund racquetball mates were completely flushed and out of breath all night long. They were sore for three days after we played last week whereas I was fresh as a daisy.

Yeah, comparing myself to the runners of FastRunningBlog can lead to numbing enervation. One must look at the big picture.

 Okay, that's my profound wisdom expounded to ye folks this month.

From one slow runner to another I have to agree with your wisdom. There are so many fast folks here on the blog site that to compare ourselves to them would be not uplifting. That said, I think we probably all work hard with what we are given and make the best of it. Congrats on your racquetball fitness victory!
