Well, about time you blogged some miles :) Nice to see at the race again. Sasha suggests running Draper days and Minuteman 5k. I'm not so interested in Draper but I would like to do Minuteman (there will be an apache helicopter there-now talk about coolness factor) Are you interested in running it?

Sounds good. It's on the same day as my home town race (Highland Fling)... but if it's recommended by Sasha, I will give it due consideration. Probably I'll try it out -- not 100% committed but thanks for pointing it out.

Since that is so close to the 1/2 race, Are you planning on doing more running on Aug 2 than just the 5K? These 5Ks are so fun but I feel like I'm cheating myself of training for the bigger races. What do you think?

Gosh I'm still thinking about your great race time in Centerville. How am I going to catch up to your progress?! It will probably have to come in the form of some sort of cross training since I'm just not sure this body can take a lot more miles per week. Or maybe I'm just being wimpy. I don't know.

I am not running the half until the Aug 23rd, but I would probably add some miles. I would do at least one before the race (believe it or not it really helps) and some ssssslllllllooooooowwwwwww miles later.

I am not particular about that specific race, it's just the 5k I want to try again. Do you know where I can find info on the Highland fling?

Here is the link on the Highland Fling: http://www.highlandcity.org/images/applications/flingschedule.pdf

But after thinking about it, my vote would be the Minute Man 5K since I like trying new races and Sasha recommends it, so probably more bloggers there.

Dang, I'm trying to think up a better plan to catch up to your fitness level!

Well the Minuteman will cost $30, since we're already late in registering and the Highland Fling costs $10 (before July 24) and comes with a T-shirt. Hmmm. Maybe it's not not worth an extra $20 plus gas $$ to go to the minuteman race.

Still thinking about it.

From Laurie on Tue, Jul 08, 2008 at 14:52:15

Minuteman comes with a tech t-shirt I don't have a lot of those(which I would most definitly use) and has an apache helicopter, plus a big ol' breakfast......

I'm still thinking too.........it's over 35 miles from my house to highland, but draper is still a distance too......
