If every winter day could be like today, I would have no problem running through the year. Once the flakes became more flake-like and less like eye-searching little pellets, it was very enjoyable! The little hill up 1st Dam (and down from it) were cause for slowing, but it wasn't bad.

-10ºF - a bit chilly. WB, 2T, fleece vest, long john pants, WB pants, gloves and balaclava. I was thinking it would be about the same as yesterday (18ºF) since there wasn't much cloud cover either night. I was way off - I'm glad I check the weather before I left. When I got to the mouth of the canyon, the wind was so cold, I just turned and went up to the ranger station. I was so happy to have a Garmin - normally I would just go where I know the distances so I could keep track of way too much info. Ahh, the freedom of being able to go wherever I want and still have all the info! I love my new b-day toy!
