am: 5. we are switching to do all our workouts in the morning this week because we are doing a decathalon this week and everyday after school they are teaching us every event to see who is a natural at what.

pm: 4 with striders.

so the events we did today were the shotput, high jump, and hurdles. shot put you could probably assume how i did, high jump i wasn't all that great at either. but it turns out i have potential in the hurdles! and i like them. so i'm going to try out the hurdles in a couple meets and see how i do. I'm Pumped for track!

am: had play practice for the assembly this moring so i missed the team practice. but casey and i went out right before school started and did 3 miles (instead of 4) with 4x~1min fartliks so we could get to 1st period in time. and with the shower after we made it with 30seconds to spare :-)

pm: went out early with coach to run some barefoot miles with tyson boyer who dropped by for a visit. we did 6 laps, 1.5 miles. then ran 3 miles with the team. My legs felt really heavy and slow today, and just ache.

when we got back we learned long jump, javelan, and discus. all of which i stink at...oh well!

am: kosmin test. 2 mile warm and cool. then the test. 4x1min hard with 3min, 2 min, and 1 min rest inbetween. i made it 1515 meters i think. which is an equivatent to a 4:36 or something. it was alright. i dont like this test but, whatever.

pm: easy 3 then we did the first 4 events for our decathlon. 100meter: 14.13? 200meter: 25.90? shotput: 26ft 6inches and high jump: 4' 5'' (sooo soo soo close to 4'9'')

good day. we were going to do the 300meter hurdles today, which was the one i was really looking forward to, but it got too late so we'll do them tomorrow.

pm: 3 with striders.

the events we did today were discuss: 56' 5''! (fun event) long jump: 14' 8'' and ...300 hurdles! my time was 43.49! it was really fun, but i messed up a couple times but still got a good time. Makes me excited for the steeple chase, and coach said i could even do this event in some of the smaller meets.

am: easy 3.

pm: only workout of the week since we were recovering from the half last week. went out early because i wanted to get done faster so i could practice the hurdles a little bit.

2 mile warm and cool. and 10x400's (goal time 1:09) seemed like a pretty hard workout to me! so i got there and there was a soccer game going on and when i asked the coach if i could use the first lane he yelled me so i just decided to stick to lane 8 using the starting line that makes it 400meters. splits were 1:08, 1:10, 1:09, 1:10, 1:10, 1:10, 1:10, 1:10, 1:09, 1:08.

this workout went by slow but i was happy with it and my times. there was wind :)

went 2 miles on my own then 8 with krenshaw. first 5 miles were ever under 8 min pace. felt bad. then i started to get into it more and ran a more decent pace. pretty fun run. krenshaw took me on a route i've never been on before but i'm going to use it much more now.
