| | Man did this run feel awful. It somehow snowed a ton, and I did the trail from last week and it was awful, super muddy and slippery. My watch (Hopefully) bugged out because it told me avg pace was 6:50, then not 2 minutes later said 7:20, and I felt consistent at the time. I sort of just gave up after that, My lungs were burning in a terrible way and I just didn't feel good at all. I didn't walk despite wanting to on the huge hill so that makes it a little better. Not really sure what I did to deserve this.
I went to the rec center after school to run instead of the team run and I don't even slightly regret it. 10 minute warm-up, went to the restroom, 5 minutes of speed changes, then (originally) 3x1000's fast. I wanted to do all three but I had a feeling that with the still lingering sickness my body might not handle it, and I've seen way too many treadmill failure videos to not be wary today. First 1000 was 2:53. Man that one was hard to push through, I was nervous because I stumbled and my quads were feeling it. Next one was on pace for a 2:58 but I couldn't push through and stopped at about 2 minutes in. I did a 600 after that in 1:39 and it was a real struggle. Made it through though. 20 minute cooldown, I was going to do 4x200m strides but I did one in 29 and my quads were saying I was done so I listened. Had a good conversation with Steven at the rock wall after, he got called in because no one showed up for what he was told to be a 30 minute shift, they didn't come in for two hours. I stayed and talked to him the whole shift, it was a good time. 11 for the day. Good stuff from everyone today

| | EZ PZ mile warmup then core, man I need to up my core I've slacked hard since footlocker haha. It hurt like heck so that was good. Coaches sent everyone on a mile run but instead I had to run a mile, do core, mile, core, mile. First mile was 7:14 then planks, then 7:06 then bridges, then I focused on staying straight and running smoothly, that one was a 6:32. They all felt easy which was nice. Cooldown for 5. My Achilles kinda lowkey bugs so yoga tonight!

| | Some good speed today. 10 minute warmup then 800, then 4x400. 800 I got out and got a good lead, if I had been alone I probably would have slowed down a ton but Mason was right behind me so I kept it smooth and did 2:24. 400 jog in between each. First 400 Mason went fast to get a lead but I wanted to stay with him so I matched his pace, he filed behind me after the first 50m but I didn't slow down. I went 64 on that, too quick, it felt awful haha. Next two were 68 and 67, I just filed behind Mason on those to keep a good pace. I went to the restroom after the third one and missed the 4th one, luckily Brady, Aaron, Mason, and Austin were doing a 5th so I jumped in on that. The first 100 I try to file behind Mason, but Austin wasn't having any of that and I was worried he'd edge me off the track. At 150 I filed behind Mason, and thought that I might as well push this one, so I swung out in to lane three and pushed into a 65. Cooldown to add to 7. Felt good! Still a little sick and the air killed my lungs, but the times were good so I can't complain. Truth be told the paces might have been a but quick for early March, but oh well what can ya do

| | 6 easy. I would have ran with Mason and Christian, but Aaron wanted to put his shirt in his truck and made me come with him. Went to Basin after and finally used my gift card from winning the turkey trot, bought 2 rollers and some GU gummies. Red and white meet tomorrow, I'm gonna try to relax with some yoga tonight.

Red, White, and (I) blue (0.25 Miles) 00:01:00, Place overall: 7 | | What a trash day. Warmed up and felt fine. They moved the 100 to be the first event instead of the 1600 so Mason could make it. I was pumped when I thought the 1600 would start, but after I just didn't feel too great. Nothing could prepare me for how awful the race was. 200m in and I started falling off. Hit the 400 at 72. Austin passed me, then Kedric. Jordan caught me in the last lap. Don't even want to know the time. Sophomore year I got 5th, Junior year I got 3rd, today I got 7th. My lungs were on fire and I don't think i've been eating enough, I weighed myself before the race and it was like 2 pounds less than usual, but when it comes down to it I was weak and gave up. I felt miserable and coach made everyone run the 400 20 minutes later. I was in a heat with all the distance guys. I caught Kedric at 250 but I was sucking it up again. I started walking before I even hit the finish. Turns out I ran 60, which suprised me. I love it when I train hard and it means nothing, you really appreciate it after a senior year where it's a normal thing.
In other words I've basically coughed up my lungs since the meet ended

| | I was going to do a long easy run, but Trevor asked me to come with the track with him so I did. Huge S/O to him, yesterday he ran his first race since freshman year, and ran an 11.69 in the 100m and took second on the team, he was winning until he died at the end. I did what I felt I could do, still sick. Ended up being 2x300, 2x200, 2x300, around 800 pace. Went 44, 47, 29, 28, 43, 46. The 300's sucked, the last 100 on the second one both times my legs were really tired. Went to subway with trevor after and ate some apple slices, then another 3 or so, Avg 7:02. This run felt nice. We went and saw the little mermaid musical after, Emily's singing was comparable to her looks. interpret that how you want, too bad she never gets on her blog.
