Another 100 mile week, with a new highest mileage day PR (21) and a very good speed workout, along with a very good weight session, squatting and deadlifting 110lbs(new PR) after not lifting since early August being the only noteworthy things to happen. Legs were just very tired from mileage, but when they adjust I’ll be so much more fit.

A side note - today was an off day because of the hurricane, so I woke up early to buy junk food to enjoy a day of vices before I really crack down on training. Seeing my reflection in the freezers isles made me realize: I’ve really slimmed up lately. Wearing a large hoodie and basketball shorts, my legs looked like semi-sculpted sticks.

THAT'S how you ride out a hurricane, right there! A day of vices. We're gonna need some funyuns! Oh, and congratulations on the other PR stuff, as well!

Thanks Tom! I’m hoping to cash all these training PB’s in for some PR’s soon. And props to you for running in this!! It honestly wasn’t as bad as I thought but I wanted today to symbolize the start of hard training.

what does the daily breakdown look like? are you doubling every day?

From Eugene on Sun, Oct 08, 2017 at 21:10:38 from 107.219.99.239

The first three days of the week I got 50 miles running around 4 around 10AM, 4 at 4PM, and 9 at around 8PM. I got caught up with midterms later in the week so I doubled all of the other days.

Any advice/thoughts on this method is welcome.

no advice, as i've never run a 100 mile week, and i rarely double. :)

just wondering about the format of putting it all up in one big chunk. when you look back on it, it will be helpful to see how you did it, like 4+4+9, 21+0, 10+5, etc.
