Short-Term Running Goals: -Find some good local races to run that will motivate me to stay in shape. Long-Term Running Goals: -Run a few fast marathons. Grandma's, St. George, and Boston are on my target list.
-Stay fit for a very long time. I believe what goes into making a competitive runner at age 60 is much different than age 20, just like what goes into making a good marathoner differs from a good sprinter. I hope that by taking care of my body, I can be very fast for my age as I get older.
Personal: I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I live in the Twin Cities with my family and am an Epidemiology PhD Student. Running is the only hobby I have time for :) |

| | 7:07ish pace, west river road, knee felt solid. I need to do a better job testing MapMyRun. It often takes bounces around in a way that adds to your mileage when you let it "follow roads" automatically. I'd like to quantify the effect of that, which may result in less mileage than I think I am getting.

| | 6:48 pace on the way back. I had an appt in Roseville this morning right by Langton lake so I decided to run afterward to the lake Johanna area. I found a path at Tony Schmidt that was soft surface and well-maintained with woodchips. My knee felt a little worse, not better, which was the one downside, but other than that it was a great run, basically in nature the whole time.

| | 4 by mile on east river road with 90 seconds rest, looks like it was just over 5 minute pace on the hard.

| | This was my second run in a really nice green space this week, as I ran all over Theodore Wirth park (there are lots of side trails!) It was somewhat stressful as I had my girls and the wind was 15 mph when we left and 22 mph when we got there. My daughter said it was winter again. Thankfully, between playing at the park and visiting the butterfly garden, everyone was ok and I was able to put in a whole 65 minutes.

| | I ran 32 minutes, stopped in at the house, and then ran 32 minutes again. Long story.
