Short-Term Running Goals:

I would like to run an Olympic Trials Qualifier in the marathon.

I would also like to run on one more international team before I pack it in!

 Stay healthy!  (My biggest challenge!)

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run my whole life, and then live vicariously through my children. (just kidding) , but I do want to pass on a healthy lifestyle to them.

Help coach East High to a state championship. (hope it doesn't take a lifetime!)

Personal:

I've been running since I was nine.  I'm married to a fellow runner who inspires and supports me.  We have two children:  Cole (4) and Lily (18 mos.)  I help Bill Cobler coach cross country at East High School.

Time to start some workouts.  2 mile warm up. 12 x 1 minute on/off.  Between 6:00 and 6:20 depending on if I was going up or downhill.  10 minute cooldown.  7:14 average.  Not a bad start. I'll take it.

It was a pound out the negative self talk run today.  Got to get my head in a better space.

20 minute warm up.  10 x 200 m hills.  Jog down recovery. 1 mile jog home.  Easing into speed work this week.  I will feel this one tomorrow.

Only needed three to hit 40 after my longer run tomorrow.  Excited to see over 40 miles this week.  I'm starting to feel much more like myself.

So, Lily has lice.  That's fun.  I was up until one doing laundry and picking nits.  Tired this morning, but got out the door.  Decided to just hit 40 this week. I will pick up a longer run next week.  But, when is the last time I ran six days in a week? I don't even know.  Good news, though. I discovered my next audition song, and listened to it about 20 times in a row
