Not much time today. I got home from work at 7:45 pm, had some dinner, played with the kids for 30 minutes. Then did a quick 6 miles over to Hurricane and back. Ran to Wendy's in 24:40 then home in just over 22:00. Sunny and I were going to go and do two more miles, but decided not to. She did 2.5 miles without stopping this morning on the treadmill. Hope to have a little more time tomorrow, but the next two weeks are going to be very busy.

Another busy day, but did manage to have a good workout tonight even though my legs felt tired and sore, I decided to push through a hill workout and figured I would try to make my body learn to work a little harder especially when I'm tired. I know that is probably not the best thing to do and a good way to get injured, but I felt pretty safe in what I was doing tonight.

Anyway I started with 2 miles easy warm-up then did 6xPah Tempe hill repeats. Three weeks ago I did 5 repeats and managed decent times. Comparing today, with last week I would say this was a better workout because.

1. I did one more repeat

2. I was still tired from the 10K race on Saturday

3. I was under a little more stress this week compared to a few weeks ago

4. Had to deal with a headwind (imagine that in Hurricane, UT), which slowed me down some.

1-2:17 not too pleased with this first repeat, a little slower than I thought it would be.

2-2:13 picked it up

3-2:14 not feeling very good, but tried to make myself feel better by telling myself I was half way done.

4-2:12 This one felt the best out of all the repeats and I was tempted to stop after this, which would have left me feeling satisfied and happy at the moment, but probably guilty later on

5-2:15 I didn't look at my watch much on this repeat, but I figured I would be right at 2:15 and I was.

Gave myself a little extra rest and started coughing a lot, but didn't throw-up, almost but no good stories to share

6- 2:12 Good solid repeat to finish with and now very happy to be done.

Did an easy two mile jog home. A half mile into my cool down I ran into my wife, so that was nice she came out to jog home with me. She ran two miles this morning and another 1.5 tonight.

I'm almost tempted to just set up a blog for her. She has been running quite a bit more lately which is good.

Big zero today. Things were a bit too busy, and by the time I finally got home and really had no desire to run. I know that is not the right kind of attitude, but I plan to hit it hard tomorrow and Saturday. I probably won't hit 60 miles for the week now, but hopefully I'll be around 55.

Good morning of basketball, lots of running. Planning on doing a tempo run this afternoon. Hopefully a total of 10-12 miles. Didn't do the tempo run, instead did a 10.5 mile loop up along 600 North Trail to the golf course, then back on the Highway to Hurricane, past the park then home. Time 1:23:35 Average pace was 7:57, legs were sore, especially calves. Might do a couple more miles tonight with Sunny.

Not a very good run for me. I was feeling pretty sore and tired from the beginning, struggled the first 5.7 miles on the warm-up and jogged .3 over to the start of the trail then attempted a tempo run on the second lap. I felt my legs cramping up and backed off the pace a little 2 miles into the tempo. I ended the 5 miles with a 6:30 average, so quite a bit slower than I would have liked. I was hoping to be closer to 6:15, but oh well. Sometimes you have to listen to the body. I think I've been under too much stress this week and I'm feeling a little run down. Did another 3.7 miles easy, and I mean very easy and pretty slow.
