10 mile out and back run this afternoon. I went out just past Toquerville, then back home. Going out was 39:50 7:58 average. Coming back I decided to push the first 3 miles at what would probably be close to my tinman tempo pace with the shape I'm in right now. 1st mile 6:49, second mile 6:50, 3rd mile 6:36 quite a bit of good downhill. Finished with a time of 37:40 so 2:10 faster than going out. Anyway, a good workout and start to the week. Hip was tight during and after the run.

Just entering my night sleep time right now. Not a very good night of sleeping Jarren was up much of the night. I plan on doing a few easy miles tonight between driver's ed and scouts.

Not a lot of time tonight, but 5.5 miles pretty easy up to 600 North trail and then up a short dirt trail to a water storage pond, then back home.

Played basketball this morning, had a difficult time getting out of bed and moving around. Hip issues again, not fun. Would like to do an easy 6 miles after work, we'll see how much time I have.

Did a 7 mile run which was a new route to me. Went over to Hurricane then up the state road heading toward Page, then I got on and ran down the Hurricane Canal for about a 1.5, went back inside some rocks exploring, then came out on 1000 South. The pace was very slow, I'm still struggling with the hip but able to manage running if the pace is not too fast. I do feel like I'm getting in a little better shape and the weight I gained the last few months is slowly starting to come off.

Two good runs tonight. First was a 4 mile warm-up before going with the running club. I went from the store down Diagonal then up Main street good short hill climb there! Then back to the store and extended just a little to get in 4 miles.

Did the standard club loop. We had another good turnout, and good conversation. The pace felt pretty good, I was surprised I was able to keep up a little better this week than in the past. I did slow down some once we hit Sunset, but some of that was due to my feet hurting a bit. I was breaking in a new pair of Asics Nimbus and could feel some blisters coming on, nothing to serious as I made it back to the store before they got too bad. I think I'm really going to like these Nimbus once I get them broke in. Right now I have 242 miles on the DS Trainers and around 330 miles on the Cumulus. I haven't really like these DS Trainers as much as the previous model, so I probably won't buy another pair of them for awhile. The Cumulus have been a good shoe, so I might get another pair of those. Anyway, at this point I would say I'm pretty much converted from Nikes to Asics (thanks Steve!)

Ok enough shoe talk, back to the running. I feel like tonight was a good workout and I'm starting to feel a little stronger. (7 miles at 7:45 pace) Hope to finish off the week with a few more good runs and be around 50 miles for the week. I think if I can at least do this for a few weeks then I should be ready to bump it up again. Was happy when I got home and weighed in at 149, but still much work to do.

Easy 5 miles tonight. Ran over to Hurricane High and watched the Boys JV basketball game against SCHS. I had some former students playing for SCHS so that was fun to watch. The run felt pretty good and I only have to run 8 mile tomorrow to hit my goal of 50 for the week.

Don't know if anybody saw on the news about the Monte Carlo Casino/Hotel fire today. Pretty funny I just booked a room there two days ago for an upcoming trip in a few weeks. I'm going to call them tomorrow and for sure book a non-smoking room.

Ran with Bill this afternoon in really nice weather.  Went from the Brentwood Bowling Alley up to Sky Mountain Golf Course then back, easy pace but I was struggling still with hip pain and Bill's back was hurting.  Two cripples on the road.

Nimbus- 15 still needing to break these shoes in, as I was having blister issues again.
