Two good runs tonight. First was a 4 mile warm-up before going with the running club. I went from the store down Diagonal then up Main street good short hill climb there! Then back to the store and extended just a little to get in 4 miles.

DS Trainer-242

Did the standard club loop. We had another good turnout, and good conversation. The pace felt pretty good, I was surprised I was able to keep up a little better this week than in the past. I did slow down some once we hit Sunset, but some of that was due to my feet hurting a bit. I was breaking in a new pair of Asics Nimbus and could feel some blisters coming on, nothing to serious as I made it back to the store before they got too bad. I think I'm really going to like these Nimbus once I get them broke in. Right now I have 242 miles on the DS Trainers and around 330 miles on the Cumulus. I haven't really like these DS Trainers as much as the previous model, so I probably won't buy another pair of them for awhile. The Cumulus have been a good shoe, so I might get another pair of those. Anyway, at this point I would say I'm pretty much converted from Nikes to Asics (thanks Steve!)

Ok enough shoe talk, back to the running. I feel like tonight was a good workout and I'm starting to feel a little stronger. (7 miles at 7:45 pace) Hope to finish off the week with a few more good runs and be around 50 miles for the week. I think if I can at least do this for a few weeks then I should be ready to bump it up again. Was happy when I got home and weighed in at 149, but still much work to do.

Dustin, awesome miles today! Glad you are starting to feel better. I will get you my training program, Saturday at the club run.

The only Nikes I like are for basketball. I am very partial to Asics running shoes. Nice job with the workouts lately.

Yeah, I got a pretty sweet deal on some Nike Shox Basketball shoes last year, I've been wearing them to play ball in lately.
