So this turned out to be a decent race for me.  Going into the race I was pretty concerned I've been struggling with bronchitis for the last 4 weeks and I haven't been training much.  I think I had only done two runs over 12 miles the entire year, so I didn't know what to expect.  My goal was to take it easy and enjoy the race and hope to break 1:40.  Well, I was able to accomplish all three.  I felt like I was in control the entire race, actually felt more like a training run which is where my current fitness level is right now.  I enjoyed the course,even though I struggled between miles 10-12.  I was especially happy I broke 1:40, now the next goal is to break 1:30 again for a half.

1- 7:24- Real relaxed

5K split 22:10

4- 7:10- this mile I passed the 1:40 pace group

5- 6:51

6- 7:07

10K split 44: 10

7- 6:54

10- 7:40

11- 9:01 Stopped and walked for a bit, took extra long at an aid station.

12- 8:39 A little more walking

13- 7:33 Pretty decent last mile

I really think if I could get back into good shape, this is a type of course I could run very well on.
