| | Five on the trails this evening at overall average just above marathon pace - nice run.

| | Easy four on the trails at about 95 heat index... 40 degrees warmer than predicted temp at start of marathon on Sunday in PA :)
Jumping on the road tomorrow morning for 8 hrs to my sister's near Raleigh, then seven more on Saturday to PA - much water and frequent stopping in the plans - should be an adventure.

| | Pretty decent 22-miler and then a beautiful 4 mile walk along the river - oh well. Opted for DNF since just finishing was never a goal. Was on goal pace thru about 16 and still on BQ pace thru 20, but then my preconception of blowing up after 20 came to fruition. Onward to 5k and shorter training. |

| | First actual run since the marathon - did some walking and run/walking over the weekend during Travis' first 8K race at UF golf course - pretty cool. He did well, going 27:21 finishing pretty much exactly half pack (100th of 227 finishers). He said he never got comfortable and had way too much left at end, so thats a good sign. He is running unattached, taking a redshirt for XC this season - good plan, and he is fine with it.
My little run this morning was slow and still a bit achy in calves.

| | A few more easy miles getting back into the swing of things. Left calf still tight.

| | Ramping things all the way up to 4 miles now - might go for 5 tomorrow! I have nearly convinced myself to roll right back into training, and go for that 3:24.59 at the Tally marathon in Feb. Will commit one way or the other on Oct 1... four months out from the marathon.

| | Easy five on the trails not nearly early enough this morning. Any hint of fall was well gone by 9am. Its coming tho... just wait

| | Easy trail run in the light rain. All body parts seem fully functional now, two weeks after the marathon effort. Will take it easy one more week and then ramp things up a bit.

| | Nice little progression run this morning in one billion percent humidity. Checking to see if theres any reason to go for sub-24 min in the trail 5K I'm planning to run on Saturday. Managed to go 8:37, 8:06, 7:28, 6:57 without too much strain, and no lingering tightness in the calves anymore. I ran 21:04 last year in this hilly little run on a south Georgia plantation - we'll see.
