I'm coaching my girl's softball team and it's taking up all my time. Three games this week and trying to fit in all my work hours has been a challenge. So now it's Friday and I haven't run for a week and a half. This run went well. All this time off has taken it's toll so I have no speed or stamina but I did finish with a 8:30 4th mile. I was surprised. My knee also felt good. A little tender the first few minutes, but fine after that. Certainly a lot better than the aches and pains I keep reading about from other bloggers. I don't have any injury excuses. I do plan on taking a little slow however. When I've jumped right into more than 20 miles a week in the past I always develop some ailment or another so I'm going to take it slow. |
