The other two times I've run since the knee injury, there was no pain during the run at all, a lot of swelling afterward but no pain during. Not this time, I had to limp through the first mile before things started to loosen/warm up, 10:45 first mile. It felt good after that, 9:30. I came back and iced it for 30 minutes which isn't normal for me. I usually finish a run, shower, and get on with the day. Is 30 minutes long enough? Twenty degrees out this morning. I don't have a lot of experience running in the cold. I used to just bag it or run for a bit on a treadmill. But twenty is nice. Hat, gloves, pants, and a warm pullover is all I needed. |
