The knee has been feeling a little better and I thought I'd test it out.  I wanted to see how it initially responded then how it felt after things warmed up.  It didn't feel as well as I wanted it to.  I pretty much limped from about a third of a mile until I finished mile one.  After that I didn't necessarily limp but I still hurt and I couldn't decide how best to foot strike.  It was also hard to stay with a similar foot strike with right and left.

The good news is I was able to run through the pain which wasn't the case when I tried a month or two ago.  It's now Tuesday morning and I don't have any soreness or swelling so small slow runs probably won't damage it.  They may help.  This whole thing is a mystery.

Knee felt better than on Monday.  That was encouraging, although I took and ibuprofen 30 minutes before.  I hope it continues to heal.  Pace was slow.  I've been accumulating lead in my legs over the last 5 months.  It was hard to run these 3.  Weird.  I should have been cross training, but I don't really like it.

Lots of pelicans out this morning at the wetlands just up the street from my house.  It's fun to watch these birds fly.

4 miles in the rain.  I walked for a minute about every half mile.  It was a relief on my to do it.

Wonderful run!  I limped a bit for the first mile.  My knee reminded me the rest of the way that it wasn't completely happy to be running, but the rest of me loved it.  I felt so good to stretch things out and just run.

No running.  Tired and a little sore from yesterday.  I think it is just a good idea not to push it.

3 miles on the JRP.  I'm taking it real easy this week for reasons I will not discuss here.  The tunnel under Lehi Main is flooded with 6 feet of water.  You would literally have to swim through it.  Crazy!  On a good note, my knee felt great, not 100%, but definitely runnable.  I think I could put ten on it without a problem.  The rest of me couldn't do it, but that knee could probably take it.

Four easy miles.  Well, easy as in slow, not easy as in effort.  I'm in horrible shape.  I haven't been keeping track of my pace, I'm too scared.
