| | 8.5, Skyline- Good run, my legs were way tired at the beginning but started to loosen up the farther we went. Starting to get pretty nervous for our meet this Saturday. Never raced an 8K, but good thing my excitment is more prevalent then my nervousness, that's a bonus. | Add Comment |

AM: 4, Vernon Worthen- Barefoot, love it. Not the best place for barefoot, as they recently airated (spelling?) the grass, but large field so not quite as tedious as a smaller one. I found a frisbee. fun fun
PM: 10, Virgin River Trail- 5x Mile Repeats, I was a little worried before about this workout. I went to practice early today so I could get some warmup stuff in which include, high knees, BK's, Scott kicks, etc. super dogs, fire hydrants... the works. Then ran two miles over to where we were meeting. I think all that helped me mentally as well as physically.
Coach said he would like us to get each mile in around 5:40 which made me think Oh Poop! But I am rather happy with myself, my miles were 5:15, 5:10, 5:26, 5:10, 5:26. Big hill in middle of third and just a little worn down on the last, but pretty good! Mike and I stuck together on all but the last where he pulled ahead. Felt great on this workout, even after, I still felt so good. | Add Comment |

AM: 7, Middleton- Late to practice so I was playing catch up for most of it. Good run though, felt smooth. Legs are a bit tired but not too bad.
PM: 3, FLx2- Nice and easy to get the gunk out of the legs. | Add Comment |

AM: 4.5, Dixie High- Felt good. We ran to Dixie's football field and did some barefoot.
PM: 7, Lower field- 10x400 felt pretty good. Legs have been feeling a bit sore and have been hurting a bit but not to terrible, I'm planning on icing tomorrow since I can't tonight. We did the 400's in the grass because there were soccer games going on. Did barefoot on the last four. 1:14, 1:11, 1:13, 1:13, 1:11, 1:12, 1:10, 1:09, 1:07, 1:02 | Comments(1) |

AM: 3, AC- Ran with the hs team and totally dominated the first freshman race Ive participated in. Figured that I'm now a freshman...
PM: 3.5, In&Outers- Interesting workout, they were like striders on the track. Eight laps of strider pace on straightaways and slow jog on curves. Hot outside.
Run-a-Thon, 1.5 with Dyllen. I missed him and Trevor so much. Great to see them again. | Add Comment |

George Kyte Invitational (5 Miles) 00:29:32, Place overall: 33, Place in age division: 33 | | First off, that race was hard. I think part of it was inexperience, and it was hard to breathe, started way to fast and didnt really know how to pace myself. But with that and the really high altitude, I think I did rather well for the first race. I wish we had done a better warm up, I dont think we were quite ready for the race in that regard. And I almost missed the start. That could have been bad. Second on the team, Mike did great. We both broke the school record for that course by quite a bit. | Add Comment |
