| | I think I ran around 5.5 miles, but I'm not 100% sure. Region is Wednesday and Thursday, so my coach didn't have us push it too hard. I ran a 10, 20, 30, 30, 20, 10 X2 for my workout with a longer cool down. 10 sec hard, 10 sec easy, 20 sec hard, 20 sec easy, etc. | Add Comment |

Region 5 1600m (1 Miles) 00:04:24, Place overall: 2, Place in age division: 2 | | I wasn't as nervous or ready for this race compared to BYU. I felt alright, but not hte greatest. I was a bit sick the night of BYU, and I was today too, so I thought I would definitley do great again. I thought Jerrell was my main competition, but Tyler Roberts actually went and won it. I ran a way too fast first lap (1:03), but still ran an alright second lap of (1:08). I led til about the 700m to go, and Jerrel passed me, and Tyler did too. At 450m I passed them hoping for a good 400m finish. We clocked it at 1:09 for the third, which kinda isn't my race. Tyler passed me with 300 to go and then I stayed on him for the rest of the way. He got a 4:23, so way good. Adam was a second behind me, with Jerrell really close too, and after that I don't know who was next. I was seeded and hoped for first, but maybe in the 3200. At least I finally beat Jerrell in a race. | Add Comment |

Region 5 3200m (2 Miles) 00:09:39, Place overall: 2, Place in age division: 2 | | Didn't feel the best, and it was pretty windy, so before it I wasn't planning on pushing it. Then during it I didn't push the first lap at all, so that was slow too. Then Jerrell also wasn't pushing it all out, so that's pretty much to reason of the slower time. I felt pretty bad during it too. Not as bad as yesterday, but not like a regular race. I led for most of the laps, so he went and drafted off me. We had a few of really slow laps in it. It just wasn't my race. Oh well. After I went and ran the 800, to score for the team. I didn't do too bad, but I had a wonderful seed, which I wasn't able to get. The start was terrible for me. I didn't even start close to the front. I was dead last by more than 5 meters for the first 200. I tried passing some people, because I needed a good place, but I mainly passed some people(Bonnelville) in the last 100m. I ran a 2:05, and I got to see Tyler run another low 1:57, and with the wind, that is amazing. I later went on a cool down, and I felt great. Kind of a bad time to feel it, but it's good. | Add Comment |
| | For some weird reason my calf wasn't feeling the best after the 3200 yesterday, and today it felt a bit worse. I decided to take it easy, and just go 3 miles. I didn't go slow, but I didn't go fast. | Add Comment |
| | I wanted to do the Health Days fun run, but my parents said with my calf and that I shouldn't do anything too intense before state. I saw a lot of friends running it when I was volunteering as a person who points the right way. after that I ran home, then to SV for the parade. I walked in most of the parade, but that doesn't count as running, does it? After that we drove to Sky View. Then I ran home in an extended way and that finished the miles. I felt good, but my calf hurt a bit. It isn't bad, but it's in a weird way, only when I walk or run do I feel the small pull. | Add Comment |
