Running Accomplishments:

Pretty new. Have done some training for specific Army competitions which have got me running a pretty decent amount, but by no means incredible.

1/2 marathon- (haven't done it yet)

Marathon - Hopefully this year...

Short-Term Running Goals:

Sub 19:00 5k

Run one marathon within the next 12 months

Stay healthy this year. Coming off of a bad shin splint which took about 3-4 months to fully recover.

Build back up to 60+ miles a week

Long-Term Running Goals:

Finish a marathon sub 3:00:00 

Personal:

A CPT in the US Army stationed at Fort Benning, GA. I've three wonderful kids and the best wife I could ask for. Been away from the running scene for a while, and I sure miss it. Trying to make a comeback!

Wow, that is the farthest I have ever been on a treadmill. It stinks. It only lets you run for 60:00, so I had to stop and then get back and finish the run. I guess it was okay because I needed to go to the little boys out house! This place is pretty funny.

That's four weeks in a row over 40 miles by my count. That's the kind of consistency you are looking for.

Do you ever read Paul Peterson's blog? Although he runs at a much higher level than I do, I get a lot out of his blog because he's a master at balancing consistent hard work with rest and recovery.

Treadmill runs sure are boring, but you can get used to them. I've done a few 20 mile runs...
