Well, my Garmin isn't working for some reason after I finished my run. I can't turn it on... :(

So, I can't figure out my splits, but I was just under a 7:30 pace for the entire run. I have pretty much been averaging 1:06:00 for 9 miles. Hopefully I can get this thing working again!

Alright, finally got it figured out.

Google "Garmin troubleshooting". Make sure you use your model number. I bet you'll be able to figure it out.

Happy Thanksgiving (a day late for you) to you and your family.

Hi My name is Tom.... I read your blog about the Rome Marathon... I have ran it twice with my cousins who live near Rome and two who who work at the Vatican....It is a great run....probably not the best place for a PR ...alot of Cobblestone and you need to be careful.....I dont recall any terrible hills but alot of congestion...Not sure if I am running it again this year although the cousins would love me to. I just finished philly and had my worst yet but was using it as a training run for Disney where I had my Marathon PR last year...anyway I just figured this site out and not sure if you will get this ..let me know if you do and if I can be of anymore help....

Hi Colby,

The Course as I remember is mostly flat and in and around the whole City.....Travels through the Vatican and all the major streets of Rome... I would say probably 5 miles worth of Cobblestone and as I remember alot toward the end. I carried a camera my first time and took 100 pics on the run and still finished in 3:45 or so...... It is a great run and a great Metal at the end...I am fortunate to have my cousins there and so close......

I have ran 5 marathons this year and in May during the Vermont Marathon was on course to break my pr and Qualify for Boston when my Calf had two enormous bunches in it...I later discovered it to be two blood clots (superficial) and had those with some vericose veins removed 6 weeks ago....Thats why my philly time was so bad I had already signed and was not going to not do it.

How long are you stationed in Italy? and where are you from?

Tom
