Long Run -

Figured the snow covered trails would be sloppy due to the recent warm temps and recent snow.  I figured since Joe was not available today, it was more convenient to run from home.  Road run then.  Ran to Green Canyon to at least get a few miles on snowpack and see some trees.  Got there and the trail was perfect for running.  Nearly solid ice that had been recently groomed by the cross-country skiiers.  I made a bad call.  It would have been a great day for running up that canyon.  Bummer.  I was at the limit of my allowed mileage so I headed home after going only 1.5 miles up the canyon.  Up in 75 mins, back in 63.  Part of that is terrain, but the effort level increased as well.  Good solid run.  Good solid week (for Jan).  Only concern was the sore IT band today.  Hope it calms down.  Don't want another setback.

I remember doing Green twice one snowing winter day, running up the groomed road. So nice. There were some ladies cross country skiing up to the yurt, and I got to the yurt twice before they got there for their stay. That was fun. When conditions are right, that's a nice place to run in winter.
