Slow run. 6:08 am, 30° F, 52% humidity, wind 6 N. Lindsay called last night and asked if I wanted to run with her this morning. She usually runs with someone else on Mondays, but I guess that person wasn't available today. So we arranged to meet at 6:15 at a corner that's about halfway between our houses. I got there just a minute early and looked for her but couldn't see her. I wasn't sure which way she would come (she has two choices), so I ran a little ways down one of the ways and didn't see her, so I turned around and went back to the meeting place. I waited for a couple of minutes and by then it was 6:20, so I decided to go all the way down one of the ways she might come. I did that and went a little past the turn off to her house, thinking that I would just run by myself, but then I changed my mind and turned around and went to her house and knocked on the door. She came to the door in her pajamas and said that she had set her alarm wrong. She said she could be ready in 10 minutes. So I ran a little loop around her neighborhood for 10 minutes and then we ran together for a couple of miles. I've been working a lot the last several months and have taken very little time off. As a result, I have a good chunk of vacation accrued, which I have never had before. I usually fritter it a way as quickly as I earn it. But things have slowed down a bit at work, and I so I decided to take this whole week off and try to catch up on some things at home. So I could have waited and run later this morning after I got my daughter off to school, but I went earlier so that I could run with Lindsay. Maybe I'll wait until later on Wednesday. AP: 10:14. Splits: 10:34, 10:31, 10:02, 9:59, 0.50 @ 9:43.
