Easy run.

6:07 am, 38° F, 36% humidity, wind 8 SSW.

It's Friday, so thanks to Lindsay, I got out and ran this morning. I called this an easy run because it was so slow, but truthfully, this painfully slow pace is not so easy for me any more, at least not when there's any kind of uphill grade at all. I've gotten so out of shape.

Also, I'm tired. This week off from work has not been restful at all. I've been working like crazy on the house. It took me 3 1/2 days to clean out the basement. We had boxes from when we moved here nearly 5 years ago, that we hadn't unpacked. I think I need another week to finish up, but I'm afraid I've got to go back to work next week.

Maybe you should quit your job.

But really, you have two more days, so here's to some rest over the weekend.

HA! I've got a whole basement filled of those boxes and it's been almost 5 years for me too. Glad you were able to get some things off your plate at home though, I hope the week off was worth it. Running is an outlet right now, don't worry about pace!

Oh man, the basement. Thanks a lot for reminding me! We'll probably have to burn the house down before that job gets done.

Hope the run helped kick start your day.

Wow!! congratulations on making a dent on the basement CinC! I am with JD ... that has been my modus operandi -- well, not burn, but it usually gets done when we move. I think I am going to call 1-800-got-junk and just have them take every box that hasn't been opened in our past 2 moves, I might miss something ... but hey, I won't miss the clutter (we don't have a basement so our junk is in our garage.

I'm taking a mini van full of stuff to the dump tomorrow, and the rest of it goes on the curb for the garbage truck on Monday. They're going to hate me.

Sorry your week off wasn't as restful as you'd wanted. Those horrid moving boxes haunt many of us....for years. Congrats on digging in & getting it done.

Slow paces or fast paces, doesn't really matter..just enjoy the journey. Sometimes when you're going slower, you have more time to enjoy the flowers, or at least look for treasures on the side of the road :-)
