Easy run.

6:23 am, 32° F, 84%humidity, wind 5 NNE, snowing.,

I ordered some new shoes a week or so ago and they came Tuesday evening. I inaugurated them this morning. It was cold and wet. It started snowing just before I stepped out the door and snowed pretty steadily for about 15 minutes and then it slowed down progressively and had just about stopped by the time I finished my run. So I got to run for pretty much the entire snowstorm. Lucky me. It was sticking to the grass and cars (and me), but the roads and sidewalks were just wet.

I need to go get warm and dry now.

Do you have the same hang-up as me? When I get done with a cold, wet run and take a shower I am in there forever. I can't seem to make myself get out as I try and warm my core. Luckily, when I shower at work we never run out of hot water.

I hate that 'cold to the core' shivering feeling! I hope you are warm and snuggly soon :)

Nice job getting out in the snow and cold, new shoes always help my motivation with that!

What I'd really like to do is relax in a really hot bath for a long time. But I don't have the luxury to do that this morning. I had to take a quick shower because I've got to be out of the shower and dressed in time to drive my daughter to school.

Your long hot bath reminds me of the commercial "Calgon...take me away."

I'd like to be taken away too.

Hope you're feeling warmer. I can't believe it's snowing for you, and you're still logging in some nice miles. Great work!

I love taking a loooooooong hot shower after a cold workout!

I can't believe you're running in snow. I don't envy you, but great job breaking in those new shoes!

Well, it wasn't really running in snow like I have to sometime in the winter. There was no snow on the ground to run through, just snow in the air.

I am with you... love a hot bath after a cold run!

Hey! I would love to run with you this weekend. Where should we meet up? What time? I don't have anything planned for the day and my husband will be home to babysit...uh I mean play with my son! Oh and don't worry about me being fast-I really struggle on long runs and I'm afraid I will slow YOU guys down!!!

Jodee, I just sent you a private message with the details, so check your email. (You'll get it only if you are set up for email notifications from the blog.) If you don't get the email, let me know.

Mmmmmm...love that new shoe smell...

SO, how did you like the NEW although wet and soggy shoes??? This weather is crazy.

Congrats on being down 4 pounds! That is awesome. I know how hard it is to lose so you must really be working your butt off (literally!) I started posting my weight last February, then it creeped way up over the winter so I stopped. BUT I decided I liked being accountable, so now I post it once a week or so . I try to only weigh in on Thursdays, but, since the scale is now in my home instead of the gym....I cheat and do it more often. I lose the same 4 pounds every week (then gain them back every weekend-in fact, last weekend I gained 7). It is depressing!
