Recovery run.

5:00 am, 38° F 38% humidity, wind 2 SE.

I was up too late again last night trying to get things done. But this time I took some Nyquil before going to bed. I still struggled a little to get to sleep, but once I was asleep, I was gone. The next thing I knew, my alarm was going off at 4:30. I debated whether to stay in bed and try to run later in the day again, but I decided that I needed to get myself back on a morning running schedule after running in the evening the last two days. It just works out so much better for me to run in the morning, except that it compromises my sleep.

I think I was still kind of drugged from the Nyquil on this run. I just could never get going faster than recovery pace. Good thing it was a recovery run.

AP: 10:18. Splits: 10:35, 10:18, 10:19, 10:03, 10:13, 10:20.

**Update**

I went back to bed for a half hour after doing the seminary drop-off.

nice recovery run, especially after knocking out 10 miles less than 12 hours earlier

glad you got some good sleep

that nyquil is some good stuff...

Nice recovery run--and a nice run yesterday. Sounds like you guilted yourself into getting it done, but you're so much stronger for it.

I hope that cough goes away.

As always you are amazing to get everything accomplished!

Oh, if only I got everything accomplished, Lori. I've still got so much to do. I'm surviving by working from home nearly every day.

It's good to hear you managed some solid sleep last night. I hope you're feeling better. That coughing in the middle of the night stuff is frustrating. But yeah, good job packing 16 miles within a twelve hour period in spite of it all.

I want to go back to bed....

Glad you got in a little more sleep, 4:30 is SO early! You should try Children;s Benadryl, it knocks you out for a good 5-6 hour and leaves you not feeling groggy!

Great running, though, bright and early before the sun.

That's a great recovery run considering how little sleep you had and the cold and the last run was only 6 hrs ago. Such dedication! Glad you to a little catnap in after seminary drop off

Great run, and good job yesterday! I hope you are able to sleep better tonight. There is nothing worse than not being able to sleep when it is time to sleep. I couldn't survive on the sleep you get, I get really mean without enough sleep.
