St. James loop. Tried to take it EZ and ended up with a 7:24 avg. But I'm not sure I could have gone any faster if I'd wanted to. Legs felt pretty much like hamburger after my massage last night. And I think I've got hand, mouth and foot. Most commonly found in children but affects adults with symptoms similar to a cold. It's been going around St. George for a couple weeks now. We know a couple house holds who's children have it. Anyways I have some of the symptoms and a couple unexplained sores on my wrist and chin...

Spent most of the run contemplating pulling out of Ojai and maybe trying to get into UV next week. Ugh! Flights are already paid for so I don't know what to do.

I wasn't sure if we were running or not this morning, but I slept through the alarm anyway. That you are worried and freaking out a bit is a good thing. It is classic Clyde, and I've run enough races with you to know that it means good things are to come. Go kill it!

Clyde, get some good sleep and load up on the Vitamin C. You're going to rock it this weekend. Just listen to the words of Diamond Dave!

Thx- It doesn't help that the forecast is for 90% humidity... F'my freaking life".

The good news is I cleaned the toilets and bathrooms today without incident.

you can always just run the one-mile w/ me on Sunday in Santa Barbara!

From Superfly on Thu, May 31, 2012 at 12:41:24 from 74.211.21.81

Jake that would be fun... til you lapped me:) I'm not sure my ego can handle that right now.

What time is your race? Venture isn't that far away. Maybe we'll come up.

You can't get lapped in a road mile! Its a straight shot along state street in SB. There are like 10 heats, mine will be ~9:45am. You'll be standing on top of the awards podium at that point!

From Superfly on Thu, May 31, 2012 at 14:48:07 from 74.211.21.81

Our race is Sunday morning at 6 a.m.

Sorry I'm just putting it all together. Your in Fontana on Saturday and then the mile is Sunday.

Good luck man!

From Jake K on Thu, May 31, 2012 at 14:55:11 from 155.100.226.54

you have deciphered the code!

weather in SB looks like it will be perfect... is it going to be a lot hotter where your race is?

From Superfly on Thu, May 31, 2012 at 15:00:07 from 74.211.21.81

The temps are basically the same. I'm a little worried about the high humidity (85%) forecast. But it should be around 55F at the start. It's only like 30 miles from Ventura (where our race finishes) to Santa Barbra.

From Jake K on Thu, May 31, 2012 at 15:02:31 from 155.100.226.54

i hadn't even looked at the humidity - for me, its the least of concerns... i'll barely have time to breathe in the mile :-) but yeah, that's pretty high humidity when you are running long, and coming from a super-dry climate.
