Well I finished off a crap-o-la week with a 2 mile walk with the family this evening. Although I have gotten over the sickness I'm still feeling the hangover effects. Way tired and not motivated at all to do much of anything. I've written off running Squaw Peak over and over again but then somehow I keep talking myself into it. So I'm going to do like 15-20 on Monday morning and see how I feel by mid-day and then make a final commitment one way or the other. What a roller coaster.

You've done more than enough long runs and hill training to do well at Squaw. Speedwork/BW are definitely less important for those longer/slower distance races. I wouldn't encourage you to do it if you are sick/injured, but you'll have to listen to Steve and Dave talk about it all year if you don't...

Dito, once you fully shake off this sickness i think you will feel stronger because of the rest. I think you can do well. Best of luck.

Bummer man. Sorry to hear that you've had such a rough time preparing for Squaw.

Good luck with your run on Monday and with making a decision about June 6th.

Thanks guys.

One of my main reasons for still wanting to push on and do it is because those two will be doing it and I don't want to be left out. Of course Dave will be leaving us out and in his wake but you know I'd still like to be there.
