Ran the Spectrum 10k today. Didn't know what to expect because the last time I raced was the first part of Nov...

Warmed up with two miles and then rushed to the starting line to catch the gun.

Mile 1- 4:42 The pace didn't feel that fast because we were going down hill and there was still a lot of runners around so I was shocked when my garmin beeped and I looked down and saw the time.

Mile 2-5:20 Steve Olsen and I start to pull away from the group. This part of the course I didn't care for. We ran back up the canyone on a dirt road and looped around a cone in the road then back down to the trail.

Mile 3-5:31 now on the trail some rolling hills to prep for the next long down hill leg. Still feeling really good and building a lead on Steve O.

Mile 4- 5:33 Now a comfortable lead and not pushing the downhill as fast as I should have.

Mile 5- 5:26 Gave it one last surge down to the corner where I could see no one too close. Starting to feel a little sore and decide to just bring it home easy.

Mile 6- 5:52 up the hill from the corner and through the intersection. Now I can see the finish and am glad to be done.

.2- 1:22 As I cross the finish line and go into the shoot I dry heave a couple times due to some new product I tried during the race.

Glad to finally get a win after more about a year and a half. The course was fast this year but not too much faster than last year where I ran a 37:16 and 5th place. Last year a 35:30 or something won the race. I'm guessing with the course changes that this year was about 50-60 seconds faster than last year. So even with that I still was around 3 min faster.

Did a couple miles with Dustin to cool off before we had to wait forever for the awards.

P.M. Ran anouther 6.5 miles tonight to get some more miles in and try and stay loose.

It looks like you are ready for Del Sol next weekend. Good job on your win, it sounds like you ran well. It is always nice to win one after a dry spell. It will be good to meet you.
