7.5 easy morning run by golf course

9.1 a mini tempo run this evening

I had planned to go to the track with Steve and do 20x400 and get a nice speed workout in. But Steve had some family stuff come up and couldn't make it so I didn't want to go to the track by myself. However I still wanted to do some speed play of some sort. Did an easy 4 miles up to watertank and just up past where the pavement ends on the turkey farm road. From there back on the road through the industrial park is 5.1 miles back to my house. The workout went something like this.

1. 5:53

2. 5:46

3. 5:34

4. 5:54

5. 5:59

Ended up @ 5:49 min/mile pace. Really not that fast considering the course is downhill much of the way. I had a hard time getting things to turn over. Could have been a combo of the heat and general fatigue that is haunting my body.

I think 100 mile weeks will do that to you. I had a hard time getting in my easy run today with a little bit of fatigue, and not getting the rest like I should for the past 5 days. My sleep and really been lacking. Nice tempo run very consistent times. Do you normally run your tempo runs on a downhill course?

Where are you staying at for the Teton Marathon?

Hey Clyde, good workout on Tues. Sorry I had to back out. We'll get some good speed in next week.

By the way how much are you planning on cutting back before the teton Dam Marathon?
