Same run as Tuesday. Around the park back up River road then down the secret street over by the GC and round B-hills. Then up the trail to River road back down to the DC and back around home via the park again. Wanted to keep it  uptempo and try and shake out the system a little. Hit a couple miles at around 5:55 from River Road down to the DC but for the most part just "uptempo". Ended with a 6:36 avg for the run hitting the 14.3 miles in 1:34:32 beating Tuesdays time of 1:39:25. Didn't feel good, but felt like I could do it. Groin pain as related to the hernia was pretty bad at the start maybe 7 out of 10. Just found a way to run with the pain as it's still here after the run. Guess I'll make do with whatever I can and hopefully this never sidelines me... but I'm too cheap and hate the medical field too much to go get it checked out. Anyways glad to get the run in and was surprised to see the avg as low as it was.

Hey Clyde, it's your newest "over the phone" client :) There's actually nothing that the medical professionals really do for sports hernias...I think they eventually just subside on their own. Don't know how long you've been fighting with that issue. Sorry to hear.

If it is a sports hernia and you do get tired of fighting it (cause it wont go away or get better) only go to a doc who has actually dealt with them before. I didnt and im regreting it (although money made my decision on who I would see about it).

Yeah I've had this hernia for almost a year. It's been up and down with the pain and discomfort but this last week has been worse than ever. I did a bunch of lifting hauling rocks and stuff into our yard last week and I'm guessing that's the biggest reason. So no more real heavy lifting for me... ever. I'm hoping that the pain will go back down to a manageable level and that I can continue to run with it. While I'm not 100% with the hernia I still can run ok. Unless it's like this week and I really just feel like I'm dieing.

James if I ever go have it looked at I'll be phoning you about the full process for sure.
